[Apply on Quest Diagnostics’s careers site →](https://careers.questdiagnostics.com/job/oklahoma-city/dlo-night-shift-specimen-prep-tech-i/38852/101095693392) [OpenNash Jobs](https://jobs.opennash.com/) / [Quest Diagnostics](https://jobs.opennash.com/companies/quest-diagnostics/) / DLO Night Shift Specimen Prep Tech I ## Job description ### Job Description Diagnostic Laboratory of Oklahoma (DLO) ### Location Oklahoma City, OK Hours: Monday-Friday 10:30pm - 6:30am Essential Functions: - Report to work on time and prepared for each scheduled shift - Perform all assigned duties and processes, including tasks for which you are fully qualified and those within your demonstrated capabilities - Maintain a positive, professional, and supportive attitude throughout the workday - Work collaboratively as a team member and contribute to a respectful, productive work environment Responsibilities: Perform duties assigned by supervisor; to include inventory control, stocking supplies, performing activities under the supervision of the technical staff to facilitate workflow. Will learn to process specimens to be tested on analyzers and perform basic instrument maintenance to support the department, able to perform bench startup and assist accordingly during production. ### Qualifications Required Knowledge: Basic understanding of computers with medical background preferred, which includes medical terminology applicable to a clinical laboratory. ### Required Experience Previous laboratory/medical experience preferred not necessary Special Requirements: Should be able to work extra days/shifts as dictated by business need Physical and Mental Requirements: Position requires data background with abilities to enter 6,000 alphanumeric keystrokes/hour - Works in a biohazard environment, practicing good safety habits Able to sit or stand for long periods - Handles multiple tasks simultaneously and works in a production environment Skills: Communicates effectively with all levels of staff - Maintains composure while working under pressure Reflects good judgment at all times when determining what action to take when resolving problems - Adheres to Quest Diagnostics/DLO core values, safety and compliance policies and procedures - Keeps work area neat and clean - Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills that foster a positive environment.
