Get started! Division Information Dynacraft, a PACCAR Company, is headquartered in McKinney, TX. Dynacraft is a diversified global manufacturer of PACCAR medium and heavy-duty truck parts sold under the Kenworth, Peterbilt, and DAF nameplates. For more than forty years, Dynacraft has provided the company’s truck manufacturing divisions and PACCAR Parts service parts division with high quality components, subassemblies and specialized services. Dynacraft’s manufacturing facilities are located in Louisville, KY, and McKinney, TX. ### Job Summary The Area Manager is responsible for supporting the strategic direction of the plant in alignment with Dynacraft’s vision and business goals. This role leads production operations focused on manufacturing parts supplied to truck plants across North America. The Area Manager will drive operational excellence by improving safety, quality, efficiency, and processes while leading cross-functional collaboration. This role requires a strong leader who is innovative, adaptable, and capable of developing both people and processes to support new technologies and evolving manufacturing needs. ### Job Responsibilities - Ensure compliance with and continuous improvement of Dynacraft standards, including safety, quality, efficiency, and operational procedures - Lead the development and optimization of production cells, including assembly processes, layout, and standards - Supervise and assign work to employees based on production schedules and customer requirements - Train, coach, and evaluate team members; provide regular feedback and performance reviews - Recommend disciplinary actions when necessary and support employee development - Provide timely updates to plant leadership on performance metrics and operational changes - Promote positive employee relations and engagement within the team Support recruiting activities and succession planning efforts - Participate in leadership development and training initiatives Benchmark best practices across PACCAR and external organizations - Lead and participate in continuous improvement initiatives, including Six Sigma projects - Conduct root cause analysis and support quality audits - Complete assigned projects and special initiatives as required Required Skills Manufacturing operations leadership experience - Strong knowledge of safety, quality, and production standards Leadership and team development skills - Ability to analyze processes and drive continuous improvement Cross-functional collaboration and communication skills Problem-solving and root cause analysis capability Performance management and employee relations experience Operational planning and execution Data-driven decision-making - Minimum five (5) years’ experience ### Education - Bachelor’s degree (required) - Master’s degree (preferred) Six Sigma certification (preferred) ### Competencies - Act with Integrity Demonstrate Adaptability - Drive for Results Influence Others Lead Innovation and Quality Initiatives Manage Execution Manage Talent Use Sound Judgment / Business Acumen Communication Skills - Create a Collaborative Work Environment Inspire Confidence Think Strategically Benefits ​ As a U.S. PACCAR employee, you have a full range of benefit options including: Competitive salary and 401k with up to a 5% company match Fully funded pension plan that provides monthly benefits after retirement Comprehensive paid time off – Minimum of 10 paid vacation days, 12 paid holidays, and sick leave Tuition reimbursement for continued education Medical, dental, and vision plans for you and your family Flexible spending accounts (FSA) and health savings account (HSA) Paid short-and long-term disability program Life and accidental death and dismemberment insurance EAP services including wellness plans, estate planning, financial counseling and more Global Fortune 500 company with a wide array of growth and development opportunities Work alongside experienced goal-oriented colleagues recognized as experts in their field Additional Information PACCAR is an Equal Opportunity Employer/Protected Veteran/Disability.
