This position supports automotive software development activities by contributing to software modeling, testing, debugging, and requirement analysis while developing technical competency in automotive embedded systems. We foster a collaborative, inclusive environment where your ideas are valued, your contributions make a real difference, and your career can thrive as you help build world-class products that power the future of transportation. ### Key Responsibilities - Support development, modification, and verification of software models using MATLAB, Simulink, and Stateflow following established engineering processes. Support analysis of software and system requirements and maintain requirement traceability under guidance. Support development and execution of unit test cases and software verification activities. Apply software development knowledge throughout the SDLC. Support defect analysis, debugging, and issue resolution activities to improve software quality and reliability Develop and modify Python scripts under guidance to support automation and engineering activities. Follow established ASPICE, ISO 26262, and organizational processes and standards during software development activities. Learn and use Git/SVN for version control and management of software models, test cases, and development artifacts. Collaborate with project teams and stakeholders to support software development and project activities. Apply and expand automotive domain knowledge while supporting development and validation activities Education Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics engineering, Automotive engineering or related Engineering discipline. ### Knowledge & Skills REQUIRED 1-3 Year of overall experience MATLAB, Simulink & Stateflow - Basic knowledge of model-based development for implementation, simulation, and verification of embedded software functions. ### Requirements Analysis & Traceability - Understanding of software requirements, requirement decomposition, and maintenance of traceability between requirements and deliverables ### MIL & SIL Testing - Exposure to Model-in-the-Loop (MIL) and Software-in-the-Loop (SIL) testing for software verification and validation activities. ### Software Debugging & Defect Analysis - Ability to identify software issues, analyze test results, and support debugging and defect resolution activities Knowledge & Skills DESIRED: Python Programming - Basic scripting knowledge to support automation, data analysis, and engineering productivity improvements. Automotive Communication Protocols (CAN, J1939, UDS) - Familiarity with vehicle communication networks and diagnostic protocols used for software development and testing. ### Configuration Management Tools - Familiarity with version control and configuration management practices used in software development projects. ### Automotive Embedded Systems - Basic understanding of ECU software architecture, vehicle functions, and embedded system development principles Competencies and Behaviours: Demonstrates responsibility and accountability for assigned tasks and deliverables while working within established processes and guidance. Apply analytical thinking and problem-solving skills to identify issues, evaluate options, and support effective technical solutions. Demonstrates effective verbal and written communication skills and collaborates productively with multidisciplinary and cross-functional teams. Effectively plans and manages assigned work, prioritizes tasks, and supports project objectives within defined timelines. Exhibits learning agility, continuously develops technical competencies, and readily adopts new tools, technologies, and engineering methodologies.
