The role serves as a bridge between systems engineering, design, controls, software, validation, and program teams, ensuring the development of complete, traceable, and high-quality requirements throughout the product lifecycle. We foster a collaborative, inclusive environment where your ideas are valued, your contributions make a real difference, and your career can thrive as you help build world-class products that power the future of transportation. ### Job Function / Responsibilities Own end-to-end system requirements engineering for High Voltage (HV) and Thermal Management Systems across BEV and PHEV programs, ensuring requirement quality, traceability, and alignment with vehicle and business objectives. Apply system-level thinking to define, integrate, and optimize interactions between HV, battery, thermal, HVAC, control, and power electronics systems to achieve vehicle performance, safety, and efficiency targets. Drive technical decision-making by evaluating architecture options, requirement trade-offs, interface definitions, and design constraints to deliver robust and scalable system solutions. Influence technical direction and innovation through continuous improvement initiatives, advanced engineering practices, technology evaluations, and development of best-in-class system engineering processes. Lead stakeholder management and alignment by collaborating with cross-functional teams, customers, suppliers, and system architects to resolve technical issues, clarify requirements, and ensure successful program execution. Identify, assess, and mitigate technical risks related to functionality, integration, safety, performance, and regulatory compliance, proactively driving corrective and preventive actions. Perform root cause analysis and problem resolution for system integration, validation, and field-related issues, enabling data-driven decisions and continuous product quality improvements. Support engineering excellence and compliance by leading requirements reviews, design reviews, Functional Safety (ISO 26262), DFMEA, ASPICE, and other quality activities while mentoring team members on systems engineering best practices. ### Qualification Bachelors/Masters degree in Electrical, Electronics or Mechatronics Required Skills: Technical / Professional Experience Requirements: 5 to 8 Years ### Primary Skills Strong understanding of PHEV/BEV powertrain systems and architectures, including motors, inverters, batteries, and energy management strategies. Ability to define, analyse, trace, and manage system requirements throughout the product development lifecycle. Knowledge of high-voltage vehicle architectures, safety concepts, power distribution, and electrical protection mechanisms. Understanding of battery, power electronics, and cabin thermal control systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability Technical / Professional Experience Desired: Experience in managing, tracing, and maintaining product requirements using IBM DNG/DOORS Next throughout the development lifecycle. Understanding of the V-Model development process, ensuring alignment between system development, verification, and validation activities. Ability to create clear, structured, and comprehensive technical documentation Knowledge of Automotive SPICE processes and practices to support high-quality automotive software and system development. Knowledge and understanding of ISO 26262 for functional safety concepts and lifecycle activities for the development automotive systems. Ability to analyse vehicle network and system signals for debugging, validation, fault diagnosis, and performance evaluation. Experience in Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) to manage complex system architectures and requirements. Proficiency in simulation and analysis tools to evaluate system behaviour, performance, and design concepts during development Competencies and Behaviours: Accountability and ownership of assigned work packages and deliverables. Strong analytical thinking and structured problem-solving abilities. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to collaborate across multiple engineering disciplines and functions. Adaptability in a fast-paced development environment. Sound technical decision-making within the scope of assigned responsibilities. Strong focus on quality, process compliance, and engineering excellence. Ability to work effectively as a team member while independently driving assigned tasks.
