Why Join Play a key role in strengthening the resilience of OCBC's technology infrastructure. As a Regional Disaster Recovery Intern, you'll gain hands-on experience supporting initiatives that ensure critical banking systems remain available and recoverable during disruptions. You'll have the opportunity to work on data analytics, reporting, process improvement, and automation projects while gaining valuable exposure to enterprise Disaster Recovery (DR) practices. Through collaboration with experienced technology professionals, you'll develop both technical and professional skills that contribute to the bank's operational resilience and business continuity capabilities. You'll be comfortable navigating large sets of information, supporting process improvements, and collaborating with stakeholders across technology teams. What You Do Your responsibilities will include: - Perform trend and gap analysis by integrating and analysing incident management data and Disaster Recovery exercise results to identify improvement opportunities - Support the development and enhancement of centralised dashboards to track Disaster Recovery readiness, recovery metrics, and testing outcomes - Analyse and visualise data to provide insights that support operational resilience and decision-making - Assist in the creation and maintenance of the Disaster Recovery Book of Work (BOW), Operations Manual, and Confluence knowledge repositories - Support knowledge management initiatives to ensure documentation remains comprehensive, accurate, and sustainable - Review and streamline Disaster Recovery checklists to improve consistency, completeness, and operational effectiveness - Support automation initiatives that enhance efficiency and reduce recovery time within the Disaster Recovery environment - Collaborate with technology teams to support ongoing Disaster Recovery readiness and continuous improvement efforts - Provide support on other projects and tasks as assigned Who You Work With Group Technology Services, within the Group Operations & Technology Division, provides the foundational technology capabilities that support OCBC's business operations and digital transformation journey. As part of the Regional Disaster Recovery team, you'll work alongside experienced technology professionals responsible for ensuring operational resilience, business continuity, and recovery readiness across the organisation. You'll gain exposure to enterprise technology operations, governance practices, and the critical processes that safeguard banking services. ### Who You Are Currently pursuing an Undergraduate degree in Information Technology, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or a related discipline - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an interest in data-driven decision-making Basic understanding of data analytics, trend analysis, and data visualisation concepts - Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and reporting tools Basic scripting experience in Python, Bash/Shell scripting, or Java - Familiarity with databases and SQL would be advantageous Interest in technology operations, resilience, business continuity, or Disaster Recovery - Strong attention to detail and organisational skills Good communication and collaboration skills Proactive, adaptable, and eager to learn Learning Objectives This internship will provide you with: Exposure to enterprise Disaster Recovery and operational resilience practices within a leading financial institution Experience performing data analysis, trend identification, and reporting to support business and technology decision-making Opportunities to develop data visualisation and dashboarding skills through the analysis of recovery metrics and testing outcomes Practical experience in knowledge management, documentation development, and process governance Exposure to process optimisation and automation initiatives that support operational excellence Understanding of IT operations, incident management, and recovery readiness frameworks Enhanced stakeholder management, communication, and project collaboration skills What we offer: Competitive base salary.
