As a Business Development Intern, you'll gain valuable exposure to business strategy, client engagement, marketing initiatives, and cross-functional collaboration. You'll have the opportunity to develop project management, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills while contributing to initiatives that strengthen partnerships and support business growth. How You Succeed To excel in this role, you'll need to be organised, proactive, and eager to learn. You'll work closely with business stakeholders to coordinate strategic initiatives, support client engagement activities, and contribute to business development projects. Your ability to manage multiple priorities, communicate effectively, and pay attention to detail will be key to delivering successful outcomes and supporting the team's objectives. What You Do Your responsibilities will include: Business Development Support: assist in the planning and execution of initiatives that support the growth of the Equities, Futures, and Derivatives business Strategic Collaboration Projects: support cross-functional projects and partnership initiatives with internal stakeholders, including Group Wealth Banking (GWB), to drive business synergies and client engagement Event Management: assist in organising and coordinating business development events, seminars, webinars, client engagement sessions, and marketing activities Marketing & Communications: support the preparation of marketing materials, promotional content, presentations, and communications for internal and external stakeholders Stakeholder Coordination: collaborate with business partners across Global Markets and other divisions to facilitate project execution and ensure alignment of objectives Presentation Development: prepare presentation materials, business updates, and management reports to support strategic discussions and decision-making Market & Business Research: conduct research on industry trends, competitor activities, and business opportunities to support growth initiatives Project Management Support: assist in tracking project milestones, coordinating meetings, documenting actions, and supporting implementation activities Ad-hoc Projects: provide support on special projects, business initiatives, and operational activities as assigned Who You Work With The Equities, Futures and Derivatives Business Development team works closely with stakeholders across Global Markets and the broader bank to drive business growth, strengthen client engagement, and identify new opportunities. You'll collaborate with product specialists, relationship teams, marketing partners, and business stakeholders, gaining valuable exposure to how strategic initiatives are developed and executed within a leading financial institution. ### Who You Are Open to learning and feedback - Strong organisational and time management skills - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Strong presentation development skills, including PowerPoint Interest in marketing, business development, and financial markets Able to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Detail-oriented with strong planning and coordination abilities Proactive, resourceful, and eager to learn Comfortable engaging with stakeholders across different functions and levels Able to work independently and collaboratively within a team Currently pursuing an undergraduate or postgraduate degree Learning Objectives This internship will provide you with: Exposure to business development and growth initiatives within Global Markets Hands-on experience supporting strategic collaboration projects and stakeholder engagement activities Opportunities to develop project management, planning, and coordination skills Exposure to event management, client engagement, and marketing activities Experience preparing professional presentations, business updates, and management materials Opportunities to strengthen communication, stakeholder management, and relationship-building skills Exposure to cross-functional collaboration across Global Markets and other business units Insights into how business development strategies are designed and executed within a leading financial institution A deeper understanding of the Equities, Futures, and Derivatives business and how client engagement initiatives support business growth and market participation What we offer: Competitive base salary.
