As a Digital Markets Intern, you'll gain hands-on exposure to data analytics, e-commerce platforms, artificial intelligence, and emerging digital asset initiatives. You'll have the opportunity to apply your technical skills to real-world business challenges, while contributing to projects that enhance digital capabilities, improve operational efficiency, and support the evolution of financial markets. How You Succeed To excel in this role, you'll need to be curious, analytical, and passionate about technology. You'll work closely with business and technology stakeholders to support digital initiatives, optimise processes, and leverage data to generate meaningful insights. Your ability to solve problems, work with data, and embrace new technologies will help drive impactful outcomes and support the team's innovation agenda. What You Do Your responsibilities will include: E-Commerce Support: monitor digital trading platforms and live trading engines, support daily operational processes, perform reporting activities, and assist in troubleshooting and system enhancements Process Automation: develop and enhance automation solutions using Python, macros, and other digital tools to improve operational efficiency and scalability Data Analytics: prepare, analyse, and validate datasets to generate business insights and support decision-making across Digital Markets initiatives Dashboard & Reporting Development: build and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualisation tools using platforms such as Power BI and Tableau Data Management: support database automation, data structuring, and data quality initiatives to strengthen reporting and analytics capabilities Artificial Intelligence Initiatives: assist in identifying opportunities to leverage AI and analytics to streamline processes and improve business outcomes Digital Assets Research: conduct market research and analysis on developments within the digital assets ecosystem, emerging technologies, and industry trends Project Coordination: support project implementation activities, documentation, testing, and stakeholder communications for digital products and new platform initiatives Event & Engagement Support: assist in coordinating internal and external events, workshops, and activities related to digital assets and innovation initiatives Ad-hoc Projects: provide support on strategic initiatives and business transformation projects as assigned Who You Work With Digital Markets sits at the intersection of financial markets, technology, and innovation. You'll work alongside professionals who are shaping the future of digital trading, analytics, automation, and digital asset solutions within Global Markets. Collaborating with business, technology, and product teams, you'll gain valuable exposure to how digital capabilities are transforming the way financial services are delivered and experienced. ### Who You Are Open to learning and feedback - Strong interest in technology, digital innovation, and financial markets Curious, analytical, and solution-oriented Comfortable working with data and performing quantitative analysis - Familiarity with programming languages such as Python Interest in data analytics, business intelligence, and automation Exposure to Power BI, Tableau, SQL, or similar analytical tools would be advantageous - Strong communication and interpersonal skills Able to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment Self-motivated and willing to take initiative Currently pursuing a degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, Business Analytics, Data Analytics, or a related discipline Learning Objectives This internship will provide you with: Exposure to digital transformation initiatives within Global Markets Hands-on experience supporting digital trading platforms and e-commerce solutions Opportunities to develop skills in data analytics, reporting, dashboard development, and business intelligence Practical experience applying Python, automation tools, and AI technologies to solve business challenges Exposure to digital asset products, market developments, and emerging financial technologies Opportunities to strengthen project management, stakeholder engagement, and communication skills Experience working with large datasets and developing data-driven insights for business decision-making Exposure to cross-functional collaboration across business, technology, and product teams A deeper understanding of how technology, analytics, and innovation are shaping the future of financial markets and banking services within a leading financial institution What we offer: Competitive base salary.
