Nucor Insulated Panel Group is seeking a qualified applicant for the position of Quality Technician. Job responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, the ideal candidate must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times. Prepares product samples for audit review. Responsible for production quality checks. Inspect incoming material quality of steel, plastics, chemicals, and other items as needed. Read and understand part prints and measure accordingly. Understand, use, and calibrate measurement instruments. Operate power equipment (Saws, drills, etc.). Perform other tasks as assigned by the Supervisor and Team Lead. ### Minimum Requirements Experience using Microsoft Office products and the ability to learn in-house software products. Must be able to stand for long periods of time. Be able to lift from varying heights and carry up to 50 pounds Must have experience using measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and tape measures. Must understand fractions, decimals, and standard metric units of measurement. Incumbent must be available for overtime and travel for training and auditing Minimum Qualifications: Detailed Selection Criteria: Judgment/Decision Making - Critical thinking, considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one. ### Dependability - Being reliable, responsible and committed to fulfilling obligations. ### Attention to Detail - Thorough in accomplishing tasks, no matter how small they may be, and taking care to make sure that expectations are met. ### Teamwork - Working as a part of a coordinated effort with others to achieve a common goal, while holding others accountable. Includes reprioritizing as needed to help the line accomplish and overall goal. ### Quality Control Analysis - Conducting tests and inspections of products, services, or processes to evaluate quality or performance. ### Communication - The ability to give full attention to what others are saying and communicate information so that others will understand. ### Time Management - Effectively manage one's own time and/or the time of others.
