Nextpower is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst – FP&A to join our Finance team in our Shanghai office. ### Key Responsibilities Support the annual business planning process, ensuring adherence to established timelines and methodologies for the annual operating plan and periodic financial forecasts across assigned business units and locations. Manage the monthly accrual process and forecast updates to ensure accurate financial reporting. Develop and maintain weekly budget tracking dashboards to monitor spending and financial performance. Partner closely with Operations, R&D, and other business functions to enhance month-end close and forecasting processes. Perform comprehensive variance analyses by comparing forecasts against the annual plan, prior forecasts, and actual financial results, providing meaningful insights into business performance. Prepare financial and operational performance reports, partnering with the Accounting team and cross-functional stakeholders to identify key business drivers and trends. Collaborate with business leaders to evaluate operating expenses, identify cost optimization opportunities, and support cost-saving initiatives. Develop and maintain financial models, analysis templates, and reporting tools to improve forecasting accuracy and drive accountability for Capital Expenditure (CapEx) projects. Support ad hoc financial analyses, scenario modeling, and strategic initiatives as required by management. ### Key Requirements Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. Minimum of four years of progressive experience in Finance and/or Accounting, preferably in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A). Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and financial modeling skills. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with SQL or other data analysis tools is an advantage. Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms. Experience with Hyperion and Anaplan is preferred. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships and effectively partner with cross-functional stakeholders at all levels of the organization. Solid understanding of capital expenditures (CapEx) and fixed asset accounting. Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. A collaborative team player with a positive attitude and a continuous improvement mindset.
