About Brucejack Our Brucejack Gold Mine, a high-grade underground mine in beautiful northern British Columbia, is located approximately 65 kilometres north of Stewart. Brucejack is a fly-in/fly-out operation with pick-up points across Western Canada, making it easy for people from different places to join us. We work closely with local First Nations communities including the Nisga’a, Tahltan, Gitanyow, and Gitxsan, to build respectful partnerships and celebrate our shared community. As a member of the Brucejack family, we put your health, comfort, and safety first. You’ll stay in private rooms with individual washrooms, enjoy balanced meals prepared by our exceptional culinary team, and have access to a 24-hour snack and sandwich bar. We also have plenty of ways for you to relax and stay active, with a gym, fitness classes, a golf simulator, and seasonal activities like snowshoeing and hiking. For creative downtime, our music room is a fully equipped space where you can play or listen to music. Our Brucejack Recreation Committee, run by employees on a volunteer basis, organizes activities and events to make camp life fun and bring people together. The committee also plans holiday decorations, charity raffles, and outdoor events, helping create a warm and friendly community. Your impact You will keep all mechanical mobile equipment used in construction, mining, and site operations safe, reliable, and compliant with all Health & Safety policies and regulations. Your work enables safe production, reduces downtime, and supports critical site operations. As part of our team you will Inspect bulldozers, cranes, graders, haul trucks, drills, scoops, and other heavy or underground equipment to identify faults and malfunctions. Diagnose issues using computerized and manual testing tools to determine required repairs. Adjust, repair, or replace components, systems, and parts using hand and power tools. Test equipment after repair to confirm performance meets manufacturer specifications. Perform routine maintenance including cleaning and lubricating equipment. Service attachments and working tools such as blades, ploughs, winches, and side booms. Complete equipment repairs underground (respirator/fit test required; clean‑shaven). Participate in site‑specific training and support additional tasks required at Brucejack. Prerequisites for your success in this role Interprovincial Red Seal Heavy-Duty Equipment Mechanic (Technician). Experience maintaining diesel and gasoline mobile or stationary equipment; underground experience is an asset. Valid Class 5 driver’s license or higher. WHMIS and TDG certifications are assets. Ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs and sustain performance during 12‑hour shifts. Ability to pass mandatory medical, drug/alcohol, and background checks. Ability to work at a remote camp on a 13/2/13 rotation. Your work environment Remote, camp-based setting at Brucejack Mine 13 days on / 13 days off rotation (with travel days) Rotating day/night shifts, including weekends Underground mining environment requiring full PPE What we offer: An hourly wage ranging from $66.58 per hour ($135,024.24 anually) based on your previous experience and the equipment you are qualified to operate 13 days of paid vacation annually Paid statutory holidays Production Bonus 100% employer paid benefits (medical, dental, paramedical services, health spending account andmore) Defined Contribution Pension Plan – the company will contribute up to 9% towards your plan $1,000 annual Learning and Physical Wellness benefit $8,400 per year travel allowance not inclusive of company paid commercial and charter flights,dependent on your location of hire At Newmont, our commitment to diversity and inclusion ensures that everyone can work to their full potential, free from discrimination, while respecting the cultures, religions, and governance of the regions in which we operate. The expected salary range for this role is CA$CA$66.58. This range is tied to the British Columbia market for jobs performed in British Columbia. The salary offer to the successful candidate will be based on job-related education, training, and/or experience.
