Serves overseas markets; native-level English writing is a core requirement. ### Responsibilities - Contribute to the product's worldview setting, character design and narrative line development - Write in-game copy: story dialogue, quest text, event narratives and character lines - Collaborate with the localization team to ensure cultural adaptation and language quality of narratives in target markets - Work with operations / art teams to integrate narrative into LiveOps events and meta scenarios - Research narrative preferences and pop culture trends in target markets (North America / Europe) ### Requirements - Bachelor's degree or above in Creative Writing, Literature, Media, Drama, Game Design, Digital Media or related fields Native-level English writing ability (serving overseas markets; the copy IS the product) - Strong storytelling and character-building skills; must provide a writing portfolio / script samples Understanding of and passion for narrative-driven casual games Effective collaboration across cross-functional teams Fluent in Chinese (written and spoken) to seamlessly integrate and collaborate with cross-regional and fast-moving teams Preferred Qualifications: Published work or internship experience in game narrative / scriptwriting / content creation / screenwriting Multilingual ability (Chinese / others), beneficial for cross-market narrative and localization collaboration - Familiarity with the meta structure of merge / simulation / narrative-driven games Fair Employment Practices At NetEase, we are committed to fair employment practices.
