This position works closely with Production, Quality, Maintenance, and Engineering to identify process issues and implement effective solutions. ### Essential Duties and Responsibilities - Develop, improve, and document manufacturing processes and work instructions. - Analyze production processes to identify opportunities for improved efficiency, quality, and cost. - Troubleshoot manufacturing and equipment issues and assist with root-cause analysis. - Support production with process improvements, technical guidance, and problem resolution. - Develop and maintain process documentation, work instructions, and standard operating procedures. - Assist with equipment selection, installation, testing, and process validation. - Monitor production performance and recommend corrective or preventive actions. - Work with Quality to investigate defects, scrap, and process-related issues. - Assist with new product introduction and implementation of engineering changes. - Develop or improve tooling, fixtures, layouts, and manufacturing methods. - Use production data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement. - Participate in continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives. - Train and support employees on new or revised processes and procedures. - Ensure processes meet applicable safety, quality, and company requirements. - Perform other duties as assigned. ### Qualifications - Minimum associate’s degree in mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or Process Engineering, or a related field preferred. - Manufacturing or process engineering experience preferred. - Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. - Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation. - Experience with process improvement, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement methods. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to work effectively with Production, Quality, Maintenance, and Engineering teams. - Proficiency with Microsoft Office and engineering/manufacturing software. - Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a manufacturing environment. ### Physical Requirements - Ability to work in a manufacturing environment and regularly access production areas. - Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout the facility as needed. - Must be able to follow all required safety and PPE procedures. ### Key Performance Areas - Process efficiency and productivity - Product quality and scrap reduction - Process reliability - Cost reduction - Continuous improvement - Safety and compliance - Timely completion of engineering projects Mueller Industries Companies provide equal opportunity in employment to all employees and applicants for employment.
