[Apply on MTR’s careers site →](https://careers.mtr.com.hk/careersection/mtr_external/jobdetail.ftl?job=98504&lang=en) [OpenNash Jobs](https://jobs.opennash.com/) / [MTR](https://jobs.opennash.com/companies/mtr/) / Supervisor II / Railway Protection Supervisor-Infrastructure Maintenance Team (Civil & Railway Protection) (Ref: 260000LH) ## Job description !*! ### Responsibilities For Civil Team Assist in planning, organising, supervising and carrying out engineering activities to ensure that railway assets, including structures, buildings, tunnels, slopes, retaining walls, noise barriers, trackside drainage, advertising panels and the associated trackside civil facilities are properly maintained in accordance with specified standards of safety, reliability and efficiency as well as user requirements - Conduct inter alia structural inspection / investigation, preventive and corrective maintenance and emergency repair - Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that works are implemented in a timely and cost-effective manner - Update and maintain procedures and work processes to minimise maintenance expenses and to enhance safety and productivity For Railway Protection Team Conduct regular inspection / patrol to the construction sites within the Railway Protection boundary and along the railway lines to ensure the safety, integrity and reliability of the railway structures - Assist in coordinating and liaising with internal and external stakeholders including government departments, private developers, consultants, etc. Perform the railway safety duties for protecting external parties working within the railway premises!*! ### Requirements Diploma / Certificate in Civil / Structural / Construction Engineering or a related discipline A minimum of 6 years' relevant experience, of which 1 year should be at supervisory level Possession of an arborist certification from the International Society of Arboriculture is an advantage for the Tree and Landscape team Possession of a valid Hong Kong driving licence class 1 and 2 is preferred Good interpersonal and communication skills as well as proficiency in both English and Chinese Knowledge of structural maintenance in an operating railway environment is an advantage Remarks Candidates with lower qualification but extensive experience will also be considered Required to perform shift duties and work under adverse weather and emergency situations Opportunities to acquire new skills and receive salary adjustments through the Skills Progression Scheme for Civil Team Recent Engineering graduates with strong passion to develop career in railway will also be considered for Operations Engineering Associate Programme and will be groomed as engineering professionals Applications You are invited to apply online via http\://www.mtr.com.hk/mtr_job_en or send in your CV stating the position (with reference number) you are applying for together with your current and expected salary, availability as well as contact information, either by email to recruit@mtr.com.hk or by mail to Human Resource Management Department (Hong Kong Transport Services - Engineering), MTR Corporation, G.P.O.
