[Apply on M&T Bank’s careers site →](https://mtb.wd5.myworkdayjobs.com/MTB/job/Philadelphia-PA/Senior-Copywriter---LEAF-Commercial-Banking--Philadelphia--PA-_R90873) [OpenNash Jobs](https://jobs.opennash.com/) / [M&T Bank](https://jobs.opennash.com/companies/mt-bank/) / Senior Copywriter - LEAF/Commercial Banking (Philadelphia, PA) ## Job description ### Overview Assists management in shaping the voice and messaging of the LEAF (LEAF Commercial Capital Incorporated) brand by creating content that continues to achieve this, as well as updating brand voice guidelines to reflect these changes for less experienced copywriters to adhere to. ### Primary Responsibilities Write and edit high-quality, impactful copy for a range of marketing materials for LEAF, including but not limited to, website content, blog posts, social media posts, email campaigns, advertisements, product descriptions, and video scripts. Assist in developing and maintaining the brand's tone, voice, and style guidelines to ensure consistency across all communication channels and touchpoints. Craft compelling narratives in content created that captivate and connect with customers, effectively conveying the value and benefits of our products and services. Conduct research to understand leasing industry trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape, to inform the position’s efforts. Review and revise own work, as well as work of other team members, to ensure accuracy, clarity, and adherence to business brand guidelines. Manage multiple projects simultaneously, while meeting deadlines and working with team members to deliver high-quality copy, on time. Provide guidance to less experienced copywriters to improve the quality of their work. Remain current on industry best practices, writing trends, and emerging technologies to enhance skills and contribute fresh ideas. Understand and adhere to the Company’s risk and regulatory standards, policies, and controls in accordance with the Company’s Risk Appetite. Identify risk-related issues needing escalation to management. Promote an environment that supports belonging and reflects the M&T Bank brand. Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators as applicable. Complete other related duties as assigned. ### Scope of Responsibilities The jobholder is expected to develop a deep understanding of the business brand to ensure it is properly reflected in marketing material developed. Similarly, the jobholder is expected to have a sound understanding of the social media environment to be able to write focused, compelling copy for it. ### Supervisory/Managerial Responsibilities Not Applicable ### Education and Experience Required: - Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 3 years’ related experience, or in lieu of a degree, a combined minimum of 7 years’ higher education and/or work experience, including a minimum of 3 years’ related experience - Strong portfolio demonstrating versatility across various mediums and writing styles - Strong technical writing skills - Strong command of grammar, punctuation, and syntax - Proficiency in tailoring content for different target audiences and platforms - Strong strategic thinking skills Experience translating marketing objectives into compelling copy Detail-oriented Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or related field Minimum of 3 years’ professional copywriting experience Financial services experience Physical Requirements: M&T Bank is committed to fair, competitive, and market-informed pay for our employees. The pay range for this position is $82,100.00 - $136,900.00 Annual (USD). The successful candidate’s particular combination of knowledge, skills, and experience will inform their specific compensation.
