Make It Possible. - The Supervisor, DSD Delivery role is a front-line leadership role that is responsible for day-to-day tactical execution of branch operations and its broader CS&L strategies in relation to our delivery business. The Supervisor, DSD Delivery is responsible for effectively driving execution against all core KPI’s. ### Additional responsibilities Being directly engaged with the delivery drivers – provide ongoing coaching, working with customers, and managing the standard work processes for IDSD Delivery Pillar, while optimizing service and ensuring cost management. The Supervisor, DSD Delivery will act as the Driver Methods Lead supporting the first level of DMS meeting in the field. Scheduling routes to Drivers and ensure compliant with HOS/DOT (breaks, hours, etc.) ### KPIs - Driver Safety incidents/accidents, DUPH, OT%, Driver review and management of high-risk drivers across the branch. ### Secondary KPIs - ePOD %, outbound reporting completion (LPN work), pre/post trip compliance, % HCC usage, OTD, indirect hours (non-productive), Driver Methods % How you will contribute You will: Manage day to day plans including order/route management, inventory management, employee performance, and daily communication with internal/external customers and stakeholders. Drive key KPIs under main categories of (1) Safety, (2) Service, (3) Cost, and (4) People. ### SAFETY Responsible for driving plans that reduce branch incident/accident rates, ensuring a successful roadside inspection, holding monthly safety/SHAPE meetings, ensuring effective and compliant pre and post trips inspections, and conducting a successful branch safety audit. ### SERVICE Responsible for ensuring accurate order fills (Target TQA / Walmart ASN order accuracy reports), and route compliance and on time deliveries at the store level. Participates in cross functional meetings with Demand/Fulfillment Planning, Retail Teams, Customers Teams, and HQ Support including LPT meetings, District Sales meetings, and Retail X meetings. ### COST Driving lowest cost per case in delivery operations by executing against annual productivity plans, lean six sigma/BPE projects, maintaining the loss prevention network regarding waste and employee performance management. Identify supply chain opportunities and ensure issues are addressed in strategic and tactical plans. ### PEOPLE Source, onboard, and develop direct reports and branch teams in multiple settings (classroom, OJT, Work-with, etc..) across entire delivery operation (delivery, cross-dock). Coach direct reports in order to create and execute development plans and support individual career goals. Manage local hourly employees (Union and Non-Union) including coaching, developing and disciplining and developing relationship with local labor unions. ### Functional Competencies Gained In Role Front line leadership experience managing hourly union/non-union employees Enhanced skills related to branch management & DSD processes and procedures. People Development, team building, and customer orientation Relationships (Internal / External) ### Internal Local Branch Teams (Director, DSD Logistics; Manager, DSD Logistics; DSD Inventory Specialist; DSD Logistics Coordinator; Hourly Employees) People Team (People Leads; People Lead Specialists; People Experience Advisors) Employee Relations & Labor Relations Demand Planning/Fulfillment Teams (Biscuit Inventory Planner, Regional Demand Planner) Retail Sales Teams (Regional Directors of Retail, District Managers, Retail Merchandising Supervisors, Sales Reps, Customer Category Managers) HQ Support Functions (Wilkes Barre Support Services, Customer Care, Routers, Processors, Continuous Improvement/Business Process Excellence Teams, LogOps Teams, MTEC Transportation Team) ### External Fleet/Equipment Maintenance Providers Vendors (Facilities Maintenance, Operating Materials, etc…) People Manager & # of Direct & Indirect Reports Direct Reports (Number of FTE will vary based on site segmentation) ### What you will bring Educational background in business, logistics, or related field (recommended but not required) 2-5 years of field logistics experience Organizational ability Team/people development Understanding of consumer-packaged goods (CPG) industry More about this role What you need to know about this position: You will serve as a frontline non-union supervisor leading and executing daily DSD delivery operations across a multi-site network, overseeing approximately 29 delivery drivers based in Streetsboro (OH), Altoona (PA), and Pittsburgh (PA). ### What extra ingredients you will bring Collaborative approach to seamlessly align with cross-functional teams across warehousing, inventory, safety, and transportation. ### Education / Certifications High School Diploma or equivalent required; practical supervisory experience and leadership capability in logistics or distribution will take priority over formal degree requirements. ### Job specific requirements Travel requirements: Minimal travel required (approximately 2–3 times per year to other operational sites or regional meetings). ### Work schedule 100% Onsite (3rd Shift: 11:00 PM – 9:00 AM, Monday – Friday). ### Salary and Benefits The base salary range for this position is $77,600 to $106,700; the exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education and location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results.
