## Job description

Controls Design Engineering Associate Company Overview At Mitsubishi Power, we're not just building better clean energy technologies; we're architecting a better future. Our team is boldly redefining power generation to accelerate the world's energy transition. We operate as one team, pushing toward our vision of the future. We value problem solvers, prioritize collaboration, and support each other in an inclusive culture built on accountability and authenticity by demonstrating our values: Safety, Family, Innovative, Inclusive, Accountable & Courageous.

Together, we’re building the future we all aspire to - making net zero a reality.

### Role Overview

The Controls Design Engineering Associate is an onsite internship offering supervised experience in controls engineering. The associate will support product definition, design-standard updates, engineering documentation, and basic control-system analysis while learning Mitsubishi Power’s generating-unit technologies and design processes.

### Key Responsibilities

Demonstrate our core competencies: action oriented, change champion, customer-focused, developing self and others, and ownership. Assist experienced engineers with product definition and routine controls design assignments. Review and update design standards, functional descriptions, logic drawings, schematics, implementation documents, and related records. Support controls projects involving turbine controllers, programmed devices, robotics, data acquisition, or similar applications.

Review operational or test data in Excel, PI, or similar tools and assist with basic troubleshooting and root-cause investigations. Build knowledge of Mitsubishi Power’s design processes, generating units, control-system software, networks, instruments, and electronic devices. Maintain accurate documentation and clearly communicate progress, questions, and findings to the engineering team. Apply feedback, follow safety and quality procedures, and complete other related duties as assigned.

### Requirements

Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree, preferably in Electrical, Computer, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering or a related discipline. Hands-on exposure to a control system such as Arduino, Raspberry Pi, device programming, robotics, SAE Baja, Formula SAE, laboratory work, or a comparable project. Basic engineering, programming, data-analysis, problem-solving, and Microsoft Office skills. Clear communication, attention to detail, self-confidence, curiosity, and a genuine interest in engineering and control systems.

Interest in turbines, power generation, or energy technologies is preferred; prior industry experience is not required. Ability to work onsite, collaborate effectively, and follow company safety, quality, confidentiality, and information-protection requirements. Travel is not required. Why Should You Apply? Gain hands-on experience in controls design, product definition, engineering documentation, and technical problem-solving.

Apply classroom and project experience while learning from experienced power-generation engineers. Build knowledge of generating units, control systems, and energy applications. Develop within a collaborative culture committed to quality, growth, and employee appreciation. Mitsubishi Power is an Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) employer actively seeking to diversify the workforce and is committed to a policy of equal employment opportunity.

Therefore, all qualified applicants regardless of race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, veteran status, or any other legally recognized protected basis under applicable law, are strongly encouraged to apply. #EngJ #LI-ONSITE #ECIJ
