At MGM Resorts, we seek individuals like YOU to create unique and show-stopping experiences for our guests. ### THE JOB As the Assistant Shift Manager Armed Security Operations, you do not just maintain order—you command presence, inspire confidence, and lead frontline tactical operations across a premier gaming and resort destination. You will serve as a visible cornerstone of protection, an agile incident leader, and a crucial operational partner to executive leadership and local law enforcement. ### THE DAY-TO-DAY Manage all security-related operational matters for designated buildings, locations, and events, including supervising, hiring, training, and evaluating line-level security employees while fostering a team-oriented work environment Monitor controlled access points to authorize the entrance and departure of employees, guests, and visitors, guarding against contraband and maintaining overall premise security. - Perform regular security safety system checks - Respond to and secure emergency scenes to prevent loss or damage, advise personnel of threats, summon emergency responders, and lead evacuation procedures when necessary Render appropriate first aid, CPR, or AED assistance to injured persons in accordance with established emergency response procedures and reporting protocols - Develop and maintain critical professional relationships with local law enforcement, emergency responders, gaming agents, and regulatory officials to ensure full operational compliance THE IDEAL CANDIDATE: Possesses excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of management and customers - Minimum of two years of management experience in the armed security industry - Must possess a valid and current Michigan Concealed Pistol License Prior experience in law enforcement, military operations or similar armed, public- facing security roles preferred This position requires flexibility to work alternate shifts as needed THE PERKS & BENEFITS: Wellness incentive programs to help you stay healthy physically and mentally Health & Income Protection Benefits (For eligible employees) Access to a variety of company Hotel, Food and Beverage, Retail, and Entertainment Discounts Free meals in our employee dining room Various programs and networking opportunities to help you get promoted Volunteer opportunities to give back to the community Other various discounts with company partners such as travel, electronics, online shopping, and many more! ### VIEW JOB DESCRIPTION [https://mgmresorts.marketpayjobs.com/ShowJob.aspx?EntityID=2&jobcode=13054](https://mgmresorts.marketpayjobs.com/ShowJob.aspx?EntityID=2&jobcode=13054) Are you ready to JOIN THE SHOW?
