We are looking for Specialists and Team Members to join us in crafting a wide variety of vehicles from the Mercedes-Maybach GLS SUV to our all-electric electric vehicle, the EQS SUV and EQE SUV. Our Tuscaloosa County site is home to the production of Mercedes’ luxury SUV models, including electric vehicles. Just down the road in Bibb County, MBUSI has launched the production of high-performance lithium-ion batteries. Our two campuses are among the most advanced automotive manufacturing facilities in the world, with over 6 million square feet combined. All qualified candidates are encouraged to apply for the opportunity to join us in electrifying the future! ### Essential Functions Installation and Implementation of 9 Standardized Vision System Checkpoints in Assembly 2 Implemented a centralized budget-tracking solution to improve financial visibility, reporting accuracy, and cost control across the Equipment Planning project portfolio Ubisense Phase 2 Rollout Other Regular Tasks: - Attend project meetings with Production, Quality, Maintenance, Controls, IT, Safety, and suppliers - Track project milestones and open issues - Follow up on action items from previous meetings - Build business cases and ROI justifications - Track project spending Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS: Education, Experience and Necessary Skills all must be met in order to qualify for position. ### Education Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science or in a related area, and/or the equivalent combination of education and experience. ### Preferred Skills Root cause analysis Continuous improvement Industrial equipment fundamentals Excel Presentation skills Problem-solving Power BI Basic CAD/Layout review Microsoft Project or timeline management tools Machine vision awareness Manufacturing processes and assembly operations Preferred Start Date: April 2027 Benefits: Paid internship - hourly rate $18 Coverage of visa costs $700 housing bonus Requirements: Currently enrolled in University or in a gap year between Bachelor's and Master's degree Studies outside of the U.S.A (we are not accepting applications from students who are currently studying in the U.S.A) A minimum of 3 semesters of studies in relevant field of study Available for a minimum of 6 months How to apply: To complete your application and be considered for an internship at MBUSI, you must attach all of the following documents: Cover letter including starting availability Detailed CV/Resume Transcript of records from University High School Diploma Working references (if available) Certificate of enrollment Thank you for your interest in Mercedes-Benz U.S. International.
