[Apply on Mashreq Bank’s careers site →](https://hcld.fa.em2.oraclecloud.com/hcmUI/CandidateExperience/en/sites/CX_1/job/7020) [OpenNash Jobs](https://jobs.opennash.com/) / [Mashreq Bank](https://jobs.opennash.com/companies/mashreq-bank/) / Relationship Manager.CIBG-FID-Sales ## Job description ### Job Purpose - Establish / manage Financial Institutions relationships to achieve pre-set financial and non-financial goals for East Asia, Sri Lanka and Maldive Establish / manage the cross-border limits / exposures for targeted East Asia, Sri Lanka and Maldives markets and targeted FI clients within these markets - Develop and execute marketing and business plans for East Asia, Sri Lanka and Maldives markets ### Key Results Area - Support and act as a backup for the Senior Relationship Manager in charge of the broader East Asia, Sri Lanka and Maldives portfolio in all aspects of managing and advancing Mashreq’s FI business in the East Asia, Sri Lanka and Maldives region. Collaborate with the Senior Relationship Manager to produce business strategies and financial budgets to drive business focus in select East Asian markets. Periodically review portfolio to maintain and enhance asset quality and control risks while exploiting further opportunities. Identify and pursue new FI business prospects, establish new FI relationships, develop revenue opportunities and pursue and execute transactions. Monitor the economic and political landscape and ongoing developments to calibrate an appropriate level of credit risk appetite as well as financial crime and sanctions compliance appetite. In coordination with product partners, position Mashreq as a leading bank in the East Asia, Sri Lanka and Maldives region through active prospecting, client engagement and deal origination and execution with targeted FIs. Monitor and report all key financial and other performance metrics at a portfolio, market and relationship level. Highly competitive and developed field with strong presence of global and regional peer banks Overseas network in key financial centres coupled with credit risk appetite in for FIs in emerging markets Narrower product offering than global banks but a more intensive and focused approach in addressing the East Asia, Sri Lanka and Maldives FI opportunity. Knowledge, Skills and Experience Thorough knowledge of International Banking services and products, particularly in Cash Management, Trade Finance, Treasury, Loans and Debt Capital Markets products for Financial Institutions. Strong inter-personal skills and effective coordination and communication skills and ability to engage with professionals from varying cultural backgrounds. Solid understanding of credit risk, financial crime compliance and sanctions compliance in a Financial Institutions context. Good understanding of political, economic and regulatory environments and banking industry in Central Asia. Competent in preparing PowerPoint presentations, and in handling excel spreadsheets and drafting business proposals.
