## Job description

Martin Marietta is currently looking for a motivated Mobile Equipment Mechanic to join our team. The individual hired into this position would be responsible for performing mechanical repairs on diesel-powered mobile equipment including troubleshooting and repairs of heavy equipment, rebuilds, removal and installation of mechanical parts, and preventative maintenance on all types of diesel-powered equipment.

### Key Duties and Responsibilities

Ability to work safely at all times Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain plant mobile equipment including CAT, Komatsu & Volvo quarry/construction equipment/ diesel engines Mechanically inclined on a wide variety of hand tools and power tools Weld, cut and perform minor fabrication on plant or mobile equipment Other duties as assigned Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Mechanical analysis Time Management Detail orientated Problem-solving skills Troubleshooting Mechanical controls

### Minimum Education

Required Vocational training or equivalent experience

### Minimum Experience

Required HS Diploma or GED required Minimum 5 years of experience with CAT, Komatsu & Volvo quarry/construction equipment/ diesel engine repairs Certification from a trade school is preferred A CDL and a clean driving record Work Environment This is a full-time position that regularly requires 40+ hours per week in a surface mine setting. This role frequently operates heavy equipment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear; and taste or smell. The employee must occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
