[Apply on Marriott International’s careers site →](https://careers.marriott.com/bistro-server-bartender/job/6706C85C3A895376D83F4533016305DE) [OpenNash Jobs](https://jobs.opennash.com/) / [Marriott International](https://jobs.opennash.com/companies/marriott-international/) / Bistro Server / Bartender ## Job description ### Description ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS - Take and serve guest orders promptly and according to service manual. - Build and create dishes when necessary, according to the Courtyard Culinary Book. - Do all necessary "mise en place" and side work as assigned. - Answer any guest questions about the menu. - Operate the electronic cash register/P.O.S. system (where applicable). - Check food before serving it to guest to ascertain that appearance, temperature and portions are correct. - Complete all Service Marriott Trainings within 90 days of being hired. 7. Perform any other job-related duties as assigned. ### REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Must have the ability to communicate in English. Self-starting personality with an even disposition. Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times. Can communicate well with guests. Must be willing to “pitch-in” and help co-workers with their job duties and be a team player. Must be able to withstand prolonged periods of standing and/or walking. Ability to lift at least 30 lbs. ### PERFORMANCE STANDARDS Customer Satisfaction Our customers are what we are about. You should be adaptable to change in your work area and in hotel procedures with a willingness to learn new skills and/or improve existing ones, have the ability to solve routine problems that occur on the job and ask for help whenever you are not sure how to do something. ### Safety & Security The safety and security of our guests and associates is of utmost importance to Crescent Hotels & Resorts.
