Through our robust product engineering, outstanding tooling capabilities and diverse process expertise, we continue to bring lightweight and innovative products to market. ### Job Responsibilities Inspects, tests, sorts, samples or weighs processed, machined, fabricated or assembled parts or products for defects, wear and deviations from specifications. Provides statistical analyses and segregation of suspect goods and initiates reject reports. Uses precision measuring instruments and complex test equipment. Ensures specified quality assurance standards are met. This is a 6-month contract position What we are looking for: - High School diploma or GED - Post-secondary education preferred, or related experience Preferred qualifications: - Perform plasma cutting, grinding, and polishing - Multitask, handle stress, implement advice, avoid distractions, adapt to changes, and work well with others - Follow work instructions and routines to comply with TS16949 requirements - Manage workload, schedule, break times, productivity, and teamwork - Able to be flexible in hours of work on short notice in order to meet internal/external customer requirements, scheduled and nonscheduled overtime shifts, etc. Work extended hours and altered schedules to provide coverage for production requirements and scheduled time off - Possible Shift Work - Computer skills; proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel preferred - Minimum of 1-year experience in a manufacturing environment preferred - Operate standard office equipment preferred Awareness, Unity, Empowerment: At Magna, we believe that a diverse workforce is critical to our success.
