Dealership Accountant /Title & Registration Specialist is an individual contributor who supports in-store accounting operations leadership and is a key contributor to ensure collaboration between Lithia Home Office ("LHO"), and store operations. The Dealership Accountant generally will report to the Accounting Supervisor. Fully in-Person role in the Chevy of Bend Dealership Monday - Friday 8am- 5pm Compensation Range: $16.85 -$26.45, with a typical starting range of $21 - $25.50. Actual pay offered may vary depending on skills, experience, job-related knowledge, and physical location. Final compensation will be established through the interview process in accordance with applicable pay equity and transparency laws. Responsibilities (NOTE: In some instances, depending on assigned work function, job duties may emphasize certain elements more than others.) - Review and submit titling/DMV paperwork for accuracy and completion - Handle vehicle titling and DMV processing - Review trade-in documents and ensure compliance - Track title status and resolve discrepancies with DMV, lenders, or internal teams - Complete daily check and credit card deposit - Assist in reconciliation of cash sales accounting schedule In coordination with a BM, work with store operations employees on any process related changes that need made to maintain a reconciled cash sales accounting schedule - Audit car deals for accuracy and completeness utilizing the Deal Checklist 2nd line of audit defense prior to deal being sent to APC for processing - Maintain notes of missing or incorrect items in Booked and Pending report in the Performance Dashboard - Work closely with variable operations to ensure collection of outstanding revenue recognition and state compliance required items - Provide back up support to F&I Managers for scanning required documents into Digital Deal Jacket - Review for completeness and accuracy all IRS Form 8300s for processing Assist BM in maintaining reconciled accounting schedules as assigned Cross-train on Title & Registration Specialist role in situations where applicable to provide back up support to other in-store accounting operations functions - Meet performance standards of accuracy, cure rates, and efficiency as established by the Company Additional work and tasks as assigned ### Skills and Qualifications - 1+ years of experience working in a dealership and/or processing car deals preferred DMV or Titling experince Automotive experince preffered Microsoft Office and web-based applications High school diploma preferred Competencies Self-motivates, believes in accountability, focuses on results, makes plans and follows through - Shares best practices, desires to keep learning, measures performance and adapts to improve results Thrives on a team, stays positive, lives our values Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.* Up to 1/3 of time: standing, walking, lifting up to 25 pounds Up to 2/3 of time: sitting, kneeling, reaching, talking, hearing We offer a comprehensive benefits package designed to support you and your family, including: Competitive pay Medical, Dental and Vision - Plans Paid Holidays PTO: 80 hours front-loaded on day 1 Short and Long-Term Disability Paid Life Insurance 401(k) Retirement Plan Employee Stock Purchase Plan Lithia Learning Center Vehicle Purchase Discounts Wellness Programs For a more detailed view, visit: www.totalrewards.lithiadriveway.com.
