## Job description

The SMIT Marine Corps & OCONUS (MC&O) team is seeking a Business Systems & AI Solutions Intern to support automation and process improvement as part of the US Navy SMIT MC&O Team. This intern will work directly with MC&O leadership and cross-functional teams to enhance and integrate internal tools, streamline workflows, and leverage AI to automate manual processes where applicable.

### Primary Responsibilities

Enhance and integrate reporting tools, automation and AI Maintain and enhance internally developed tools
- Develop or support tools that analyze data to identify similar or analogous tasks
- Conduct targeted research on technical services to support automation Basic Qualifications: Enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field Strong Excel skills, including advanced formulas and macros
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to multi-task, self-assign work, and operate in a fast-paced proposal environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills Candidates must be US citizens able to obtain and/or maintain a Department of Defense Secret security clearance as a condition of employment Preferred Qualifications: Experience with JavaScript, Visual Basic/VBA, and/or Python Experience applying AI or generative AI tools to business or analytical problems
- Familiarity with Salesforce, Power BI, SharePoint, or similar platforms Experience working with automation tools, data repositories, or legacy systems

Pay Range $40,300.00 - $72,850.00 The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
