## Job description

At a Glance Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Manufacturing Engineer to join the Electrical Infrastructure division in Mascoutah, IL.

## Responsibilities

What Will You Do?
- Design, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes, equipment, and production methods.
- Lead manufacturing improvement projects focused on efficiency, quality, capacity, and cost reduction.
- Analyze production processes and operational data to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Lead root cause investigations for manufacturing and quality issues and implement sustainable corrective actions.
- Support Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) reviews for new and existing products.
- Develop and validate tooling, fixtures, automation solutions, and manufacturing systems.
- Conduct process capability studies, equipment qualifications, and process validations.
- Manage engineering change implementation and maintain manufacturing documentation.
- Participate in capital equipment selection, installation, and startup activities.
- Collaborate with quality, maintenance, operations, supply chain, and product development teams.
- Train and mentor production personnel.
- Lead Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Manage TPM activities, equipment spare parts, and maintenance contractor relationships to maintain reliable and efficient facility operations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

## Qualifications

### Education
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering,, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.

### Experience
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of manufacturing engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience leading process improvement projects.
- Experience with manufacturing automation and CAD systems preferred. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Thorough understanding of manufacturing engineering principles and production systems.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Ability to independently manage multiple projects and priorities.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis skills.
- Working knowledge of process validation and statistical analysis techniques.
- Effective leadership and mentoring abilities.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
