As a Certification Test Engineer II, you'll lead certification and reliability initiatives that directly impact product innovation, market access, customer confidence, and business growth. This role offers exceptional visibility across Engineering, Product Management, Quality, and Manufacturing, providing the opportunity to influence product design from concept through launch while ensuring compliance with global regulatory standards. Come growth with us! ## Responsibilities Maintain valid certification statuses, including but not limited to UL/ETL Listings, NOM, RETIE, CCC, CE, UKCA, and CB Scheme. Plan, develop, and execute qualification, certification, reliability, thermal, environmental, and performance testing programs. Support root-cause investigations and validation testing for product changes and field issues. Maintain test equipment, test procedures, and laboratory capabilities necessary to support certification and reliability programs. Work with Product Managers and Product Design Engineers throughout the new product development process to ensure a path to achieving regulatory compliance in alignment with market requirements. Partner with Quality Assurance and Product Managers to define a threshold for product safety and performance beyond what is required by the standards. Coordinate logistics for obtaining certifications, including procuring test samples, scheduling test time with internal and external laboratories, third-party witnessing, and collection of documentation. Support all aspects of external testing and evaluations from RFQ to final report. Ensure product designs are documented within certification files and provide guidance to the Sustaining Engineering team regarding design changes. Manage internal communication related to product certifications. Travel up to 15% to external test labs to support the certification program, as necessary, mostly domestic. Perform additional duties as deemed necessary to support the organization's overall goals. ## Qualifications ### Education Bachelor’s degree in engineering or engineering technology or equivalent experience. A minimum of 4 years of experience in a professional setting. ### Skills/Knowledge/Abilities Familiarity with low-voltage power distribution equipment. Previous experience working with NRTLs and certification bodies. Exceptional organizational, time management, communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. ### Personal Qualities/Behaviors The performance of this position may occasionally require exposure to manufacturing areas that, in certain situations, require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses and mandatory hearing protection. Regularly required to communicate with others.
