Job description, responsibilities and duties The Data Engineer – Foundry (Frontend Developer) is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining ontological structures and frontend applications in Palantir Foundry. This role involves analyzing requirements, defining data structures for backend teams, and ensuring accurate digital representation of organizational data. The developer creates intuitive and secure UI components, implements frontend functions, and designs navigation and interaction logic for optimal usability and visual consistency. Collaboration with stakeholders, data analysis, and thorough documentation are key, as is continuously optimizing solutions to meet evolving business needs. Key competencies include proficiency in programming languages such as React, TypeScript, Javascript or Python, strong analytical, proactive and problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and high attention to detail. Minimum 5 years of experience in frontend development. ### Main activities - Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders. - Analyze business and technical requirements for new and existing applications. - Define data structures and forms, and communicate these to backend team. - Develop and maintain UI components and implement frontend functions in Palantir Foundry. - Design navigation flows and interaction logic for user interfaces. - Implement security features in frontend applications. - Create and update documentation for ontologies, applications, UI components and code. ### Responsibilities - Ensure the digital representation of organizational data is accurate and effective. - Deliver secure, user-friendly, and visually consistent frontend solutions. - Translate requirements into actionable development tasks. - Support backend integration by providing clear data structure specifications. - Test and validate developed features and changes to ensure quality and reliability. - Maintain compliance with organizational security and documentation standards. - Proactively engage in learning, training, and staying up to date with the latest features, best practices, and updates in Palantir Foundry. Personality requirements and skills - Ability to work at least 4 days per week from our office in Voderady (remote contract is not possible) - Proficiency in React, TypeScript, JavaScript or Python. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to understand complex data relationships and business processes. - Experience with UI component development and frontend architecture. - Understanding of security principles in frontend development. - Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. - High attention to detail and a focus on usability. - Ability to produce clear and comprehensive technical documentation. - Adaptability to changing requirements and new technologies.
