[Apply on Larsen & Toubro’s careers site →](https://larsentoubrocareers.peoplestrong.com/job/detail/LNT_--_1887306) [OpenNash Jobs](https://jobs.opennash.com/) / [Larsen & Toubro](https://jobs.opennash.com/companies/larsen-toubro/) / RCF_IC_MBCL (Residential) - P&M (Tier 1) ## Job description ### Job DescriptionManager - Plant & Machinery (P&M)QualificationBachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering - MandatoryDiploma in Mechanical Engineering withextensive construction equipment experience may also be consideredExperience8 – 12 years of experience inPlant & Machinery management in construction projects, preferablyhigh-rise residential or commercial building projectsJob LocationProject SiteRole OverviewThe Manager - Plant & Machinery (P&M) will be responsible formanaging all plant and machinery operations at the construction site, ensuring availability, proper utilization, maintenance, and safety of equipment required for construction activities.The role involves overseeingequipment planning, machinery deployment, maintenance schedules, and coordination with project teams to ensure smooth execution of construction activities.Key ResponsibilitiesPlant & Machinery PlanningPlan and manageplant and machinery requirements for the entire project site.Ensure timelymobilization and deployment of construction equipment as per project schedules.Coordinate with project management teams to forecastmachinery requirements for upcoming construction stages.Machinery Operations ManagementOversee daily operations ofconstruction equipment and machinery including tower cranes, hoists, batching plants, concrete pumps, bar bending machines, bar cutting machines, compressors, and other site equipment.Ensure properutilization and operational efficiency of all machinery deployed at site.Maintenance & Equipment ReliabilityDevelop and implementpreventive and corrective maintenance schedules for all plant and machinery.Ensure timelyrepair and maintenance of equipment to minimize downtime.Monitor equipment performance and address technical issues promptly.Equipment Safety ComplianceEnsure all plant and machinery are operatedin compliance with safety standards and statutory regulations.Conduct regularsafety inspections for machinery and lifting equipment.Ensure operators follow properequipment handling procedures and safety protocols.Vendor & Contractor CoordinationCoordinate withequipment suppliers, rental vendors, and service providers for machinery procurement and servicing.Monitor vendor performance and ensuretimely maintenance and support services.Resource & Cost ManagementMonitorequipment utilization and operational costs.Optimize machinery usage toreduce idle time and improve cost efficiency.Track fuel consumption, maintenance expenses, and operational costs.Documentation & ReportingMaintain records ofequipment inventory, maintenance logs, and operational reports.Track machinerydeployment, usage, and downtime.Prepare periodicP&M reports for project management.Team SupervisionSuperviseP&M engineers, technicians, and equipment operators at the site.Ensure propertraining and competency of machinery operators and technical staff.Technical Skills Required
