[Apply on Larsen & Toubro’s careers site →](https://larsentoubrocareers.peoplestrong.com/job/detail/LNT_MD-N_1879541) [OpenNash Jobs](https://jobs.opennash.com/) / [Larsen & Toubro](https://jobs.opennash.com/companies/larsen-toubro/) / Mechanical Design - NCR ## Job description ### ECTION I BASIC INFORMATION Job Family Design and Engineering Role Team Member MEP Mechanical (FPS/PHE) Reporting to: MEP Manager / Project Head Workplace Classification Site SECTION II: ROLE SUMMARY (Purpose of the Role) The team member MEP Mechanical (FPS/PHE) supports execution, coordination, and monitoring of Fire Protection Systems (FPS) and Plumbing & Public Health Engineering (PHE) works at project sites, ensuring quality, safety, and timely completion of assigned activities. ### SECTION III KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ ACCOUNTABILITIES Financial / Functional Perspective Assist in controlling material wastage and optimizing resource utilization at site. Support monitoring of quantities executed against BOQ. Help in maintaining cost-effective execution of FPS and PHE works. Assist in preparation of material requirement and consumption reports. Support in minimizing rework through proper execution as per drawings. Customer Perspective Ensure FPS and PHE works meet client and consultant requirements. Support in timely closure of observations raised by clients or consultants. Coordinate with contractors and vendors for smooth site execution. Maintain professional communication with internal and external stakeholders. Support in achieving project milestones as per schedule. Internal Process Perspective Assist in execution and supervision of firefighting systems including hydrant, sprinkler, wet riser, and fire pump systems. Assist in execution of plumbing systems including water supply, drainage, sewage, storm water, and rainwater harvesting systems. Ensure works are carried out as per approved drawings, specifications, and relevant codes. Coordinate with civil, electrical, and other MEP teams to avoid service clashes. Support testing, commissioning, and snag list closure activities. Maintain daily progress reports and site records. Assist in inspection of materials and workmanship quality. Ensure compliance with safety norms and site safety practices. Learning & Growth / Developmental Perspective Continuously improve technical knowledge of FPS and PHE systems. Learn and follow company quality and safety standards. Participate in site meetings and technical discussions for skill enhancement. Develop coordination and communication skills through cross-functional working.
