The role focuses on maintaining airworthiness, ensuring robust manufacturing processes, and overseeing inspection, testing, and certification activities for detail parts, sub-assemblies, and final assemblies.This position plays a critical role in process validation, First Article Inspections (FAI), PFMEA, and EQA, while acting as a key interface with customers and regulatory bodies. The role also drives continuous improvement initiatives, ensures supplier quality compliance, and supports audit readiness and certification through structured documentation and system governance.Key ResponsibilitiesAct as the dedicated Quality Assurance Manager for the Missile ProgramConduct and supervise aeronautical part-level and assembly-level inspections to ensure compliance with AS9100 standardsReview and approve Quality Assurance - Plans and Inspection - Plans for detail parts, sub-assemblies, and final assembliesOversee inspection and testing activities, including dimensional checks and non-destructive testing (NDT) for structural assembliesParticipate in PFMEA and Engineering Quality Assurance activities to ensure manufacturing processes are robust and capable of achieving successful First Article Inspections (FAIs)Ensure proper establishment of test setups for pressure and leak testing of pipelines and sub-assembliesMonitor process capability and implement controls for consistent product qualityEnsure compliance with AS9100, and other applicable aerospace regulatory requirementsMaintain accurate documentation of inspections, audits, and compliance reports for traceability and certificationSupport internal and external audits, ensuring readiness and adherence to quality systemsConduct system audits for vendor qualification and ensure supplier compliance to aerospace quality standardsCollaborate with suppliers to ensure incoming materials and components meet required specificationsDrive supplier quality improvement initiativesAct as the primary customer interface, ensuring timely approvals and clearances from MSQAA/DGAQAMaintain strong customer relationships to enable delegation of quality activities to L&T during productionSupport customer audits, inspections, and quality reviews to ensure satisfaction and trustDrive Lean, Six Sigma, and SPC-based improvement initiatives to reduce defects and enhance operational efficiencyIdentify improvement opportunities in testing, inspection, and manufacturing processesSupport digitisation and quality improvement programsMentor and guide inspectors, technicians, and engineers on quality standards, inspection techniques, and safety practicesEncourage a culture of quality, compliance, and continuous improvement across teams ## Qualifications Bachelor Program in Mechanical Engineering ## At a glance - Posted by the employer: Oct 7, 2026 - First seen by OpenNash: Oct 12, 2026 - Last checked: Oct 19, 2026 - Listed for: 12 days - Location: India>Tamil Nadu>Coimbatore Campus[Apply on Larsen & Toubro’s careers site →](https://larsentoubrocareers.peoplestrong.com/job/detail/LNT_QM-MM_1884016) ## More jobs at Larsen & Toubro ### [1.
