[Apply on Labcorp Holdings’s careers site →](https://careers.labcorp.com/global/en/job/COVAGLOBAL264732EXTERNALENGLOBAL/Medical-Technologist) [OpenNash Jobs](https://jobs.opennash.com/) / [Labcorp Holdings](https://jobs.opennash.com/companies/labcorp-holdings/) / Medical Technologist ## Job description PAML a Labcorp company is seeking a Medical Lab Technologist to join our team in Yakima, WA. ### Work Schedule Tuesday - Saturday 9:30 am to 6:30 pm overtime and additional days or hours may be required Job Responsibilities: - Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria - Perform routine and complex technical procedures and functions according to departmental ### Standard Operating Procedures - Monitor, operate and troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure proper functionality - Demonstrate the ability to make technical decisions regarding testing and problem solving. - Prepare, test and evaluate new reagents or controls - Report accurate and timely test results in order to deliver quality patient care - Perform and document preventive maintenance and quality control procedures - Identify and replenish testing bench supplies as necessary - Assist with processing of specimens when needed - Maintain a safe work environment and wear appropriate personal protective equipment Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Biology, Chemistry, or Medical Technology ASCP or AMT certification Preferred Qualifications: 1 year or more working in a Clinical or Hospital Lab Additional Job Standards: Ability to work independently and within a team environment Able to pass a standardized color blindness test High level of attention to detail with the ability to prioritize and multitask Flexible to work overtime as needed Exceptional customer service - Strong communication skills; both written and verbal Comfortable working under minimal supervision - Proficient with computers; Familiarity with laboratory information Are you an experienced Medical Lab Professional? Employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours, Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan.
