At our Canoga Park, CA (Los Angeles area) facility, we design & manufacture rocket engines and unique power systems that support space exploration & the defense of our nation such as NASA’s SLS, Lockheed Martin’s THAAD, Sierra Nevada’s Dream Chaser, and the Mars Perseverance Rover. ### Essential Functions - Troubleshoot critical weldments ensuring best practices for weld fit-up, cleanliness requirements and weld parameters are followed - Document best practices to support production - Assist with root cause analysis and disposition discrepant hardware Accurately report problems, solutions, and results - Communicate effectively between team members and customer counterparts Qualifications: Requires practical knowledge of welding and general fabrication. Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, min of 8 years of prior related experience. ### Preferred Additional Skills Previous experience E.B welding, manual, In-Place-Tube and/or Automatic GTAW Experience working with Torch Weld Jigs (TWJ), setting weldments up for exact shrinkages to fit TWJ post weld Experience with weld, braze and assemblies’ specifications Working with D17.1 or Journeyman Weld certifications Moving large structures or hardware In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in the State of California is $84,000 - $156,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
