As a hands-on working manager, you will support delivery of solutions that can withstand the harsh environments of space. ### This position in in Fort Wayne [https://careers.l3harris.com/en/Fort-Wayne](https://careers.l3harris.com/en/Fort-Wayne) Essential Functions: - Lead, coach, and develop 20-25 engineering professionals; set clear priorities, performance expectations, and growth plans. - Serve as a working manager, providing technical direction for radiation modeling and space-environment analyses. - Guide components engineering, materials selection, failure analysis, logistics, and planning across the product lifecycle. - Lead complex trade studies and root-cause investigations; convert mission constraints into executable engineering plans. - Improve specialty engineering standards and tools and communicate technical direction across engineering and program teams. - Bid work scope and ensure we are meeting objectives across programs Qualifications: - Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering and a minimum of 9 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree in Engineering and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience. - Ability to obtain a federal security clearance Preferred Additional Skills: - Experience with radiation modeling, space environments, or space-system survivability analysis. - Experience in components engineering, materials selection, reliability, or failure analysis. - Experience leading multi-disciplinary engineering work across concept, design, test, operations, and sustainment. #LI-ZB1 L3Harris Technologies is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
