[Apply on Kinder Morgan’s careers site →](https://careers-kindermorgan.icims.com/jobs/2687/login) [OpenNash Jobs](https://jobs.opennash.com/) / [Kinder Morgan](https://jobs.opennash.com/companies/kinder-morgan/) / Operator - MBO ## Job description ### What We Are Looking For Operator/Mechanic will operate heavy equipment needed with bulk material handling such as a front-end loader, forklifts, sweeper, skid steer, etc. Other duties as assigned. ### What You Will Do Educational requirements: (minimal requirements and any additional education or training that would helpful) ### High school diploma or GED Job requirements (specific experience, skills, knowledge, certifications, licenses, competencies, working conditions) - Must have a good mechanical aptitude - Prior experience operating heavy equipment such as front end loaders, forklifts, sweeper operation and conveyors - Must have knowledge and experience with packaging and palletizing equipment; must be able to withstand extreme weather conditions majority of the time will be working outside - The ability to work from written and verbal instructions - Must be able to work with a team, take direction from supervisors(s), adhere to required work schedules, focus attention on details, and follow work rules, as well as take on other duties as assigned - Typical hours for this position are 7:00am to 3:30pm with flexibility to work 2nd shift on occasion. - Must be willing to work overtime, weekends and holidays as needed - Maintain a regular, dependable attendance and high level of performance - Positively interact with customers and respond to customer inquiries - Basic computer skills (knowledge of MS Office, various operating systems, and other company software) Physical requirements include but are not limited to: - Able to lift as much as 50 lbs. as high as waist level - Must be able to climb ladders and stairs and raise your body weight as high as four feet - Must not have a fear of water or heights - The ability to swim is a plus - Ability to take initiative and work with coworkers to accomplish defined goals in a fast-paced environment - Successful completion of validated testing, background check and drug screen upon offer Preferred experience, skills and knowledge: (above the minimum requirements; not required, but advantageous in this position) - CDL a plus but not required What You Need Preferred experience, skills and knowledge: (above the minimum requirements; not required, but advantageous in this position) - CDL a plus but not required Why Join Kinder Morgan Kinder Morgan is a large energy infrastructure company operating in North America.
