## Description

Job Responsibilities: Maintain equipment in Electric Arc Furnace, Ladle Metallurgical Furnace, Continuous Caster, and all support equipment. Install, maintain, repair and troubleshoot instrumentation , controls, and electrical systems (480VAC/120VAC/24VDC) including, but not limited to: transmitters, low voltage switchgear, transformers, protective relays and motor control centers, 24VDC systems, PLCs, UPS, conduits, cable, relays, instrument loops, flow meters, pressure probes, temperature probes, level probes, switches, alarm and telemetry systems. Perform preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance in accordance with established procedures. Properly use instrumentation, control and electrical test equipment and other similar tools. Open and close circuit breakers as required for proper system operation and electrical isolation. Perform plant electrical switching and lock-out/tag-out (LOTO) of equipment in accordance with approved procedures, prudent operation, and maintenance best practices. Read electrical schematics and apply technical knowledge to understand and diagnose equipment and electrical failures. Document completed tasks, develop PM plan, and mitigate future breakdowns. Work with other maintenance, operations, and automation personnel to solve multifaceted problems. Work in various areas of the mill. Dependent upon the area and maintenance needs, there will be work in confined spaces, elevated heights, and in close proximity to molten metal, high voltage and high-pressure systems.
