You will serve as a focal point for client acquisition and ongoing coverage of innovative companies, working independently and with internal partners to deliver the full capabilities of the firm to clients. ### Job Responsibilities Client Acquisition & Market Development - You will build a strong Technology Banking brand in Toronto, positioning the business as a leading Innovation Economy bank serving high-quality and diverse clients. - You will develop new business by acquiring new relationships and deepening existing relationships through delivery of firmwide solutions, including credit and payments. - You will seek out founders and companies powering innovation by leveraging referral networks built through business activity and relationship development. ### Client Coverage & Strategic Advisory - You will lead internal strategic discussions across the firm’s solutions to address client needs and support profitable relationship growth. - You will provide financial advice to clients while building long-term, trusted relationships with technology companies. - You will stay current on industry trends across the start-up ecosystem, entrepreneurship, and innovation to identify opportunities for strategic partnerships. Risk, Culture & Execution - You will champion a culture of innovation and a customer-centric mindset while managing credit, operational, and reputational risk appropriately. - You will work independently and as part of a dynamic team to deliver the entire firm to clients. Required Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills. - 5+ years of related experience. - Strong understanding of Commercial Banking products and services. - Understanding and interest in high-growth software, payments, ecommerce, and marketplaces. - Excellent sales management and business development skills. - Proficiency in building and maintaining positive client relationships. - Strong interpersonal and influencing skills, with the ability to establish credibility and strong partnerships with senior business and control partners. - Self-directed, proactive, and creative, with sound judgment and the ability to navigate ambiguity to get things done.
