As a Software Engineer at JPMorganChase within the CIB – Markets Technology, you are an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance, build, and deliver trusted, market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. As a core technical contributor, you are responsible for delivering critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm’s business objectives. ### Job Responsibilities - Design and develop scalable and resilient systems using Java to contribute to continual, iterative improvements for product teams - Execute software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with the ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problem - Create secure and high-quality production code and maintain algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systems - Produce and contribute to architecture and design artifacts for applications while ensuring design constraints are met by software code development - Gather, analyze, synthesize, and develop visualizations and reporting from large, diverse data sets in service of continuous improvement of software applications and systems - Identify hidden problems and patterns in data and use these insights to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architecture - Contribute to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologies Leverage enterprise-authorized AI coding assist tools within the work environment to improve code quality, delivery speed, and productivity (e.g., code generation/refactoring, unit test creation, documentation), while validating outputs through peer review, automated testing, and secure coding standards - Apply knowledge of tools within the Software Development Life Cycle toolchain, including enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development and automation capabilities, to improve the value realized by automation Add to team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills - Proficient in coding in Java 8/11/17 and above - Demonstrated, hands-on expertise in Spring Boot for building RESTful microservices, including configuration, dependency injection, and production-ready deployments.
