In this role, you’ll own actual and potential litigation matters end-to-end, provide actionable advice to diverse functions, and partner closely with senior management across the Firm. You’ll interpret evolving laws and regulations, advise on advocacy efforts, and help the business anticipate and manage risk with confidence. As the Vice President, Assistant General Counsel in Home Lending Litigation you will work independently and with outside counsel to represent the Firm in litigation matters, as well as provide advice on a broad range of other matters and issues relating to Chase’s residential mortgage lending business. You will have independent contact with, and support, senior management in the Firm. Demonstrating litigation skills, as well as sound legal judgment, you will leverage your deep understanding of litigation matters to make informed decisions that deliver positive results to our customers and our business partners. If these values resonate with you, we would like to hear from you. ### Job Responsibilities Managing actual and potential litigation matters Advising on litigation issues that impact various business functions, including loan origination, servicing and foreclosure Managing dispute resolution Interpreting existing laws, rules, and regulations and advising on changes thereto Advising on advocacy in connection with contemplated and proposed laws, rules, and regulations Providing legal advice to the business and functions Selecting, engaging, and managing outside counsel for the Firm on all matters in which outside counsel is engaged Required qualifications, capabilities and skills: A minimum of five years of post-admission legal practicing experience Juris doctorate degree.
