You will successfully work unsupervised and be capable of making informed decisions to complete the tasks as instructed. ### Position Summary The Field Technician Level 3 is a highly skilled technical professional responsible for performing advanced diagnostics, repairs, body work, and paint restoration on our air handling units in the field. This role requires expertise in structural repairs, surface preparation, painting, refinishing, and customer-facing service delivery. The technician is expected to work independently, provide technical leadership, and ensure all repairs meet quality, safety, and company standards. This position is 95% travel in the USA ### Key Responsibilities Perform advanced damage repairs, panel replacement, dent removal, and structural repairs. Complete surface preparation, priming, painting, and refinishing to manufacturer specifications. Diagnose damage and develop effective repair plans. Conduct inspections to ensure quality workmanship and compliance with safety standards. Operate and maintain body repair and paint equipment. Provide field support for complex repair projects. Collaborate with customers and internal stakeholders to communicate repair status and recommendations. Mentor and support junior technicians through knowledge sharing and technical guidance. Maintain accurate service documentation, repair records, and parts usage reports. Adhere to all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements. ### Qualifications Journeyperson certification or equivalent experience in Auto Body Repair, Heavy Equipment Body Repair, or related trade. 5+ years of experience in body repair and paint applications. Strong knowledge of painting systems, coatings, refinishing techniques, and repair procedures. Experience working independently in a field service environment. Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record. Strong troubleshooting, communication, and customer service skills. ### Preferred Qualifications OEM body repair and paint certifications. Experience with heavy equipment, construction equipment, or commercial vehicles. Leadership or mentoring experience. Knowledge in Microsoft word, excel, and Outlook Knowledge Hyperscale air handling units Knowledge of lean processes and continuous improvement practices. ### Key Competencies Technical Excellence Customer Focus Safety Leadership Problem Solving Quality Orientation Collaboration and Teamwork Accountability and Ownership Business Impact This role supports operational excellence by ensuring equipment appearance, integrity, and functionality are restored efficiently, minimizing downtime, enhancing customer satisfaction, and contributing to overall business performance. ### HIRING SALARY RANGE $28 - 32/hr. (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, location and alignment with market data.)
