RIGHT NOW. ### Title Senior Software Engineer - Torreón Primary Location: Torreón Function: Technology (CA) John Deere is a foremost leader in the ag equipment business, and we continue to put a solid stamp on other industries. The product line alone serves as proof with advances in machine performance, equipment automation, fleet management, and John Deere’s ongoing investment in emerging markets. ### Note All candidates should have their tax situation certificate (Constancia de Siituación Fiscal) up to date with the salary regime to be eligible for the hiring process. ### Main Responsibilites - Lead and participate in efforts to modernize the products technology stack; - Mentor junior developers and perform code pairing with other members of the team and perform proper code reviews with team members. - Collaborate with Product Management and team members on establishing a product roadmap to ensure the development work is prioritized in line with business requirement. - Follow industry-standard agile software design methodologies. - Grow your own and help grow others technical talents. - Learn new skills and technologies as required to support existing and evolving products. - Engaging in all aspects of the software delivery cycle including the design, build, test, deploy, and support of software applications. ### What Skills You Need - 4+ years of experience building front end applications using JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Ajax and jQuery with UI frameworks like React. - 5+ years of experience designing and developing microservices using and creating/consuming RESTful web services. - Hands-on experience with containerization using Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes. - 3 years of experience using Amazon Web Services (Lambda, API Gateway, ECS etc.) and understanding of infrastructure as code using Terraform or CloudFormation. - 2 years of experience designing and developing service-based architecture and/or micro-services. - Hands-on experience working with relational and no relational databases. - Proven experience working in an Agile Scrum team environment. ### What Makes You Stand Out - AWS Solutions Architect Associate Certification. - Experience working with SpringBoot or similar Java Frameworks. - Experience working with Micro-frontends. - Strong communication skills. - Appetite for continuous learning and willingness/dedication to develop deep technical skills needed to further develop, transform, and modernize processes and solutions. ### Education - Bachelor’s degree with equivalent experience.
