Hunt Transport Services](https://jobs.opennash.com/companies/jb-hunt-transport-services/) / Body Technician ## Job description Under routine supervision, this position is responsible for performing intermediate level body repairs. This position is responsible for troubleshooting, rebuilding, repairing, and painting of J.B. Hunt tractors and other equipment. This position has the possibility to work outdoors, in the elements, or across multiple shifts including nights and/or weekends in addition to overtime; it requires full-time attendance. Sign on bonus may be available for a limited time. ### Key Responsibilities - Inspect damaged or wrecked equipment and perform valuations to create cost estimates for repairs Rebuild and paint wrecked trucks, hoods, and body parts with special focus on fiberglass and cosmetic repairs - Demonstrate proficient technical knowledge of preventative maintenance, replacement of parts/components, and more difficult repairs as it pertains tractor maintenance including but not limited to the fuel system, battery, engine, drive train, onboard computer, transmission, air brake systems and FHWA Inspections Accurately perform intermediate level repairs to company and manufacturer's specifications, complete work orders, and demonstrate understanding of company requirements for standard repair times (SRT) and warranty guidelines - Troubleshoot tractor issues; work independently and seek assistance as needed - Understand and effectively follow all shop safety procedures - Maintain professional communication with JB Hunt personnel and customers at all times - Participate in Original Equipment Manufacture training for OE repairs - Adhere to safety standards and procedures including maintaining respirator log - Operate wrecker to move trucks into shop to be repaired - Perform post-maintenance diagnostics and testing ## Qualifications ### Minimum Qualifications - 18 years of age with 1-2 years of experience in body repair/ Semi-Tractor maintenance and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience; willingness to work outdoors, in the elements, or across multiple shifts including nights and/or weekends if needed A/C Certification At least - 1 year of experience in DOT inspections, FHWA inspections, and air brakes Preferred Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED equivalent with 1-2 years of experience in body repair/ Semi-Tractor maintenance and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience; willingness to work outdoors, in the elements, or across multiple shifts including nights and/or weekends if needed - Ability to communicate (written and verbal) effectively - Ability to fulfill physical requirements (lift/move appliance up to 50 pounds) - Ability to multitask - Ability to read documents and/or information in English - Ability to wear appropriate work attire (protective gear/PPE) - Ability to work both independently and as part of a team Proficient active listening skills - Proficient computer skills and/or comfortable working with a computer - Proficient deductive reasoning skills - Proficient organizational skills - Proficient problem solving skills - Proficient time management skills High School, GED Maintenance ## At a glance - Posted by the employer: Oct 14, 2026 - First seen by OpenNash: Oct 20, 2026 - Last checked: Oct 20, 2026 - Listed for: 6 days - Location: Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, United States of America - Employment type: Full-time[Apply on J.B.
