Hunt Transport Services](https://jobs.opennash.com/companies/jb-hunt-transport-services/) / Litigation Paralegal ## Job description Under general supervision, this position assists litigation counsel in completing routine legal issues, researching applicable law sources, drafting legal documents for internal and external legal offices, completing information requests, and other administrative tasks. The incumbent will be responsible for maintaining claim management system databases, litigation deadlines, and records of expenses. ### Shift Monday - Friday, 8:00AM - 5:00PM This position is in office. This is not a remote position. ### Key Responsibilities - Assist in the discovery process through reviewing and drafting initial documents and answers to be sent to outside counsel and collecting relevant factual information from internal databases - Respond to routine correspondence from internal and external parties following established procedures not requiring management review Maintain Claim Management System databases through recording new lawsuits and assigning appropriate coding and system flags - Conduct initial claims investigations and collect law sources for litigation counsel such as statutes, recorded judicial decisions, legal articles, and legal codes for preparation of executive summaries and legal documents - Maintain active litigation calendars for trials, mediation, settlement conferences, and other legal deadlines - Notify litigation administration about concerns on litigation files - Assist in processing expense invoices and filing for claim expense reimbursement from excess and surplus lines insurance carriers - Maintain records of unbilled expenses, accounts receivable transaction entries, and payments received - Perform additional duties as needed ## Qualifications ### Minimum qualifications - Bachelor's Degree in related field; 1-2 years of related experience and/or training OR equivalent combination of education, experience, or military equivalent AND/OR Demonstration of the following skills and abilities through education, certifications, military, or other experiences: Ability to process information with high levels of accuracy - Ability to interpret information to form decisions - Ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas through various mediums - Knowledge of approaches and techniques for recognizing and resolving problems Preferred Qualifications: Paralegal Degree or Juris Doctorate Experience drafting and reviewing legal documents Experience working in a corporate legal environment/department Experience working in a fast-paced environment - Knowledge of transportation and logistics - Knowledge of legal terminology - Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) - Knowledge of discovery procedures and litigation documentation This position is not eligible for employment-based sponsorship. ### Doctorate Law, Bachelors: Business Administration/Management (Required), GED (Required), High School (Required) Legal ## At a glance - Posted by the employer: Oct 13, 2026 - First seen by OpenNash: Oct 20, 2026 - Last checked: Oct 20, 2026 - Listed for: 7 days - Location: Lowell, Arkansas, United States of America - Employment type: Full-time[Apply on J.B.
