Drivers will start and stop their day at the East Granby yard. POSITION DETAILS Deliver fresh and frozen groceries on a '53,'51,'48,or'46 ft reefer trailer to supermarkets (Associated Grocers, FoodTown) and distribution centers in ( NY – Boroughs +Long Island 80-90%), NJ, MA, VT, RI, NH, ME, PA, parts of NY upstate. DRIVERS SHOULD PLAN TO DELIVER IN NYC BOROUGHS DAILY. Drivers will start in West Haven between 12am and 1:30am. Then travel to N Hatfield for a 2- 4 am pickup to be delivered to stores. Multi-stop loads, usually 15-20 stops per week on avg. Drivers normally do one long load per day, occasionally followed by a shorter load if hours permit. Drivers will pick up return product occasionally from stops and may need to pick up a backhaul back to the DC Assigned Automatic daycabs that cannot be taken home for time off. Drivers Must have transportation to and from work daily. Uniforms are provided. Drivers will work Holidays if it is their scheduled day to work unless the acct is not running that Holiday. ADDITIONAL DETAILS Drivers will be trained in electric pallet jack usage to help in unloading at the store. Drivers will help support other accounts in the local area as needed. Drivers should understand the importance of customer service and have good customer service skills. SALES TIPS Early starts. Consistent work schedules. New Management- tenured managers from the top down. New Equipment trucks less than 3 years old. New 100% electric jacks for everyone. Warehouse staffing improvements that improved delays. New equipment brought in. Trucks on avg are 3 years or newer. ### HOLIDAY SCHEDULE Thanksgiving Christmas New Years Note: Off the day of the holiday but works the Holiday night for all 3 days.
