## Job description

Drivers are home daily with J.B. Hunt! Looking for local truck driving jobs? J.B. Hunt is hiring intermodal truck drivers! Drive with J.B. This position is an activity-based pay plan that encourages safety, efficiency and a strong work ethic.

### Job Details

$0.42 - $0.61 per mile Detention pay per hour: $20 - $25 after the first hour Drop and hook pay: $45 per stop Live load/unload pay: $67 per stop Recovery pay: $25-$50 per occurrence Hazmat pay: $30 per load Refrigerated pay: $30 per load Excessive dunnage pay: $15 per occurrence

Crosstown pay: $23-$55 per move One-way pay: $25 per occurrence Driver assist pay: $25 per load Empty move: $15 per move Long-haul pay per load: $50 Mechanical breakdown per hour: $20 Rail delay per hour: $20 after 1 hour Refused delivery per stop: $45 Truck order not used: $25 Waiting on power unit per hour: $20

Dwell pay per move: $15 Yard work and checks pay per hour: $20 Spotting pay per move: $5 Virtual safety training pay per hour: $20 Safety training pay: $22 per hour New hire training pay per day: $250 Mandatory meeting pay per hour: $22 Holiday pay: $220 per day Drivers in this position over the last six to twelve months have averaged annualized earnings of $83,000

This position may be eligible for safety bonuses and incentives based on profitability or performance, as applicable. J.B. ### Position Details

Driver will report to Chicago terminal daily for dispatch and truck assignment. They will Primarily be assigned loads to shuttle between BNSF, NS and CSX rail ramps. But we do service other ramps as well. 50 % drop and hook. Besides moving containers between ramps, they will run a 200 or so mile radius of Chicago - as far N as Milwaukee and SW WI area, and down to Indianapolis and Grand Rapids) Fair mix of long haul one day, and shorter local mileage the next.

All run in a day cab and return to the terminal at the end of their shift. There are some Local runs available where drivers run to Indianapolis and back every day & then fill in with local work Special Requirements: Prefer local Chicago rail experience but not required. Automatic restriction CDL is permitted Hazmat required in 90 days Additional Info: Truck needs to remain at the yard during time off.

Passengers are not permitted. Drivers WILL slip seat No smoking in trucks PTO & Holiday Pay: Drivers get 18 paid days off (12 PTO days and 6 holidays) After 1st year - 5 years, drivers get 22 paid days off (16 PTO days 6 holidays) 6 - 13 years, drivers get 27 paid days off (21 PTO days 6 holidays) 14 - 18 years, drivers get 30 days (24 PTO days 6 holidays) 19+ years, drivers get 32 days (26 PTO days 6 holidays) Drivers on this local job will operate in a 200-mile radius of Chicago, IL.
