This is an exciting opportunity for you to gain hands-on experience in large-scale transportation projects throughout Texas and apply your academic knowledge to real-world transportation drainage challenges. You will assist our team in solving a range of problems and learn about industry-standard procedures and software. You'll work alongside experienced Engineers and Project Managers, gaining valuable insights into the field of transportation engineering. This internship provides a hands-on learning experience directly related to responsibilities that transfer to skills needed in a future full-time position Your Responsibilities May Include: - Work in a team environment with other project engineers on the detailed hydrologic, hydraulic, and drainage analysis and design of urban and rural transportation related projects. - Perform routine aspects of engineering requiring knowledge and application of basic engineering principles under close supervision. - Provide support in the preparation of contract drainage drawings, specifications, and estimates. - Performs other duties assigned by the Drainage Group Leader and other team members. - In pursuit of a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited institution - Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, Word, and Excel. ### Ideally, You Will Also Have - 3.0 GPA - Must be at least a rising Junior - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong analytical and organizational skills - Coursework and/or in transportation, hydrology and hydraulics, and CAD software is preferred - Strong analytical and organizational skill. - Authorization to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship, now or in the future Jacobs is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
