We're looking for a Sr. Project Manager to be based in the Southern California Area who is excited about working on projects supporting our clients’ business and business practices. Join us and you’ll have the chance to work on construction projects including rail, roads, rapid transit, bridges, tunnels as well as industrial and commercial facilities. You’ll be accountable for orchestrating a number of construction related activities on civil focused projects including rail, roads, highways and water/wastewater. You will be expected to be able to work with clients and contractors with the knowledge of construction practices including change management, safety, quality assurance, scheduling, estimating, price negotiations, and oversight of day to day activities. By developing and delivering on project scopes, budgets, reports, contracts, and schedules, you’ll help our teams achieve our client’s objectives. Your keen ability to multi-task, communicate effectively and tackle project challenges will allow you to thrive in our fast-paced environment. Experience with railroad construction projects is a must and grade separation experience is a plus. Need to have railroad operational knowledge for class1 freight railroads. Working together, we’ll help you grow and pursue what fulfills you so that we can make impacts on the future - big and small, global and local. - Bachelor’s degree in in Construction Management, Engineering, or related discipline - 15+ years of proven experience in Project and Construction Management working on transportations projects including transit tunnel projects. - Proven Experience with railroad grade separation project. - Knowledge of construction including material, methods, plans and specifications; associated safety requirements. - Perform calculations using algebra, trigonometry and geometry. - Required to have and maintain a satisfactory driving record Ideally, you’ll also have: - Certified Construction Manager (CCM) Certification - Demonstrated knowledge of MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) systems and general building maintenance - P.E. ### License Essential Functions Intermittent sitting, walking, standing, bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, twisting, and lifting. Lifting requirements limited to 20 lbs. in the form of supplies, drawings, etc. Longest distance carried of 50 feet. Hand manipulation is required for simple grasping, pushing and pulling, and fine manipulation. Right and/or left hands utilized. Occasional need to reach and/or work above the shoulder, for supplies, as well as below the shoulder for same. No foot controls necessary. Must be alert to equipment in the field, there will be occasional travel, will work near construction job site equipment when in the field, occasional need to work near hazardous equipment and machinery, occasional need to walk on uneven ground, exposure to dust, gas or fumes, exposure to noise, extremes in temperature or humidity, and potential work at heights. #WestPMCM #LI-CS1 Jacobs is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
