We are looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer who is excited about taking on complex issues associated with water/wastewater/water resources and building electrical systems for our clients. This role is based in Gainesville, Florida; however, we are open to qualified candidates located throughout the state of Florida, including Tampa, Orlando, Fort Lauderdale, and surrounding areas. This position will require you to work independently and as part of larger multi-disciplinary teams. Design your career with a company that inspires and empowers you to deliver your best work so you can evolve, grow, and succeed - today and into tomorrow. ### Duties and Responsibilities - Detailed knowledge and experience in the electrical discipline, with basic knowledge of related disciplines - Understand and apply discipline codes, standards, and legislation - Ability to complete field investigations of electrical installations - Ability to support local construction activities and respond to technical Requests for Information (RFI) in a timely manner - Power system design for municipal and industrial loads - Lighting design proficiency in industrial settings - Ability to use CAD tools (SKM, AGI32, and MicroStation) - Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, showing resilience, emotional composure, and self-management - Ability to lead discipline teams, including engineers and technicians - Able to mentor and train junior team members - Excellent communication and presentation skills (spoken and written) - Strong interpersonal skills, demonstrating commitment to achieving group objectives - B.S. in Engineering (Electrical) or equivalent, plus applicable registrations - Minimum 10+ years’ relevant industry experience preferred - Professional Engineering license in Florida Ideally, you’ll also have - Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering - Experience within the Water and Wastewater Market #LI-DL1 Jacobs is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
