[Apply on Jacobs Solutions’s careers site →](https://jacobs.jobs/jobs/38C1ECDAFF164E2981CDEC7999BD62BC/) [OpenNash Jobs](https://jobs.opennash.com/) / [Jacobs Solutions](https://jobs.opennash.com/companies/jacobs-solutions/) / Assistant Manager, BIM/VDC - Design Build Water Infrastructure ## Job description We are seeking a highly motivated BIM/VDC Assistant Manager to support the planning, development, implementation, and management of Building Information Modeling (BIM) and Virtual Design & Construction (VDC) processes across complex design-build construction projects. This individual will play a key role in coordinating multidisciplinary project teams, driving model-based collaboration, and advancing digital delivery standards from preconstruction through project completion. The ideal candidate will possess extensive construction industry experience, advanced technical proficiency with Autodesk Revit, and a strong understanding of design-build project execution. Experience within the water and wastewater industry is preferred but not required. ### Key Responsibilities - Support the development and execution of BIM and VDC strategies across multiple projects. - Lead model coordination efforts among engineering, design, construction, and subcontractor teams. - Develop and maintain BIM Execution Plans (BEPs), project standards, and modeling workflows. - Manage model quality control, clash detection, and issue resolution using BIM coordination tools. - Facilitate multidisciplinary coordination meetings and track model-related action items. - Support project teams with constructability reviews, digital planning, and field integration. - Develop and maintain project-specific Revit content, templates, and standards. - Train and mentor project teams on BIM/VDC processes, tools, and best practices. - Coordinate the integration of models with scheduling, estimating, and construction planning activities. - Assist in evaluating and implementing emerging technologies and digital construction workflows. - Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and construction personnel to ensure BIM deliverables support project objectives. - Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency, quality, and project outcomes. ### Required Qualifications - Minimum 10 years of experience in architecture, engineering, construction, or related industries. - Minimum 5 years of BIM/VDC leadership or coordination experience on large-scale construction projects. - Expert-level proficiency with Autodesk Revit. - Strong understanding of design-build project delivery methodologies. - Experience managing multidisciplinary models and coordination processes. - Working knowledge of construction means, methods, sequencing, and field operations. - Proficiency with Autodesk Construction Cloud, Navisworks, and related BIM/VDC technologies. - Experience developing BIM standards, workflows, and quality assurance procedures. - Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills. - Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously. ### Preferred Qualifications - Experience supporting water and wastewater treatment facilities, pump stations, pipelines, or related infrastructure projects. - Experience working on industrial, process, or heavy civil construction projects. - Familiarity with 4D scheduling, 5D estimating, reality capture, laser scanning, and digital twin technologies. - Experience implementing BIM/VDC workflows in a design-build environment. - Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related discipline. - Relevant Autodesk or industry certifications. ### Key Competencies - Technical BIM expertise - Design-build project execution - Model coordination and clash resolution - Team leadership and mentoring - Construction technology innovation - Problem-solving and decision-making - Cross-functional collaboration - Continuous improvement mindset Jacobs is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
