Knack Works is focused on providing scalable, automated solutions that enable our customers to perform their national security missions in an ever-changing environment of new technologies and evolving threats. Our flagship product, the "Knack Stack," introduces flexible and automated hybrid cloud infrastructure as a service for cloud-agnostic deployments and automation. It's designed to automate data management and security. We are seeking a Software Engineer passionate about formulating new solutions, to join our on-site team in Northern Virginia. We live a team-driven approach towards growth and innovations in a culture that fosters collaboration and camaraderie. ### What We Offer Knack Works offers an employer funded Profit-Sharing Plan (PSP) valued at up to 25% of base salary and an Individual Benefits Account (IBA), a use or get paid out benefits package, also valued up to 25% of base salary to cover medical benefits. ### Total Package Value Base + PSP + IBA - Up to $262,500 - Opportunities for personal and professional growth - Hands-on exposure to real-world, rewarding projects - Supportive team environment with mentoring by some of the best in the field - Competitive salaries, and outstanding benefits package with many lucrative perks - Training and certification support - Must work onsite in Chantilly, VA - U.S. Citizen with ability to obtain a security clearance - Experience with cloud technologies and DevOps (AWS) with strong experience in Kubernetes - Solid experience with GO (or similar language), proficient in Python, Java - Apply knowledge of software engineering and best practices for full software development life cycle - Familiarity with coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, and testing - Ability to design, build, test, and deploy within cloud technologies and on-prem technologies using DevOps techniques - Knowledge of DevOps/CI/CD tools and benefits - Ability to interface with microservices and event-driven architectures - Experience working with both cloud ( AWS, Azure, or others) and on-premise solutions - Experience with ticketing to create, manage, and close-out development requirements - Ability to collaborate with other engineers to design and implement features - Ability to mentor less experienced software engineers. - Proactively make recommendations where manual processes can be automated - Experience with open source and cloud native application - Knowledge of relational database and storage fundamentals - DevOps experience, to include version control, automated builds, automated testing, and continuous integration with tools such as Gitlab. - Self-starter with strong innovative and analytical ability Jacobs is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
