Our commitment extends beyond business success as we strive to build sustainable processes that minimize environmental impact and foster vibrant and diverse communities around the globe. ### JOB SUMMARY Lead Optical Transceiver Firmware Engineer develops and maintains the embedded software for optical transceivers, ensuring they operate reliably and efficiently. This role requires a deep understanding of both hardware and software, with responsibilities including designing, implementing, testing, and debugging firmware for these devices. ### ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Firmware Development: Writing, debugging, and testing firmware for optical transceivers, often using C or C++. ### Hardware Integration Collaborating with hardware engineers to ensure the firmware works seamlessly with the transceiver's hardware. ### Testing and Validation Thoroughly testing firmware to ensure it meets performance and reliability requirements. ### Problem Solving Debugging and resolving issues with firmware and hardware integration. ### Performance Optimization Optimizing firmware for speed, efficiency, and power consumption. ### Documentation Maintaining detailed documentation of firmware code and functionality. ### REQUIREMENTS Bachelor's Degree: Typically a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field is required. ### Experience Relevant experience in firmware development, embedded systems, and optical transceivers is highly desirable.
